Wanna know how often you'll run into CAFs on EA UFC 4? Just go search Heavyweight on EA UFC 3 and look at how often you run into Andre Bishop - you'd think he's a UFC HOF and among the most popular fighters of all time with his pick rate.

That's the data they're going off of - how often someone picked Rogan, Buffer, Frost, Bishop, Dana. All to see how popular CAFs would be.

Such a shame nearly all these players than main Bishop will simply transition to CAFs

I think it's because of Bishop's build, not who he is. You give any roster fighter that treatment and they would be picked a ton also.

I don't remember running into Bishop or Frost very often online, and I fought in all weight classes. Plus, created fighters will have ratings caps that keep them from being as good as the best fighters in each division. So don't worry, we're not gonna stop seeing Jon Jones every fight at LHW.

I don't think created fighters will be as prominent as people think.

Those boxers were OP characters. Picking them gave you a huge advantage in the standup.

No CAFs in UFC 4 will have such an advantage. All of them have glaring weaknesses (other than the balanced archetypes which don’t do anything great). People won’t use CAFs for the same reason they used those boxers. The boxers were OP. CAFs won’t be.

Actually looking at their stats their surprisingly fair. Such a shame the year that we actually get decent ratings aside from Burns ground ratings we get CAFs as well [emoji1785]

At the very least they better not ban CAFs too easily. Unless he’s got Swastikas plastered all over him or something racist, fair enough, but hopefully we will be allowed to make some who are a little controversial. It’s the least they could do.

Depends on how good the archetypes are and how CAFs are implemented.

Some of the advantages I see for using a CAF are:

1) IF your archetype isn't displayed, you have an advantage over your opponent of not letting them know your weakness/strengths.

2) If you can change your archetype depending on your opponent, this can make it even easier for you to tune against your opponent for favorable matchups

3) Customization and all will probably be a big incentive for people to use CAFS, since there is no way to really customize ranked fighters with alternative timeline looks or models.

4) The same CAF can be used across all weightclasses. This is a huge advantage because you can become extremely familiar with a moveset and style. Think of how much better Edparker uses Conor, or how Martial uses Jones.

5) You can set the height and body types/postures/stance to your preferences. This is an advantage to people who have a hard time with certain postures or body types or stances.


I agree with you, we probably will see a lot of CAFs. The only downside I've seen so far is that the overall rating of the archetypes looks to be lower than top tier fighters, but I have noticed that a lot of the key stats such as power are maxed out in some of these archetypes.

Yh im gonna hate all the cafs. I hope we at least have the option to filter them out, but probably not in ranked smh.

What makes you think these are going to be true? That wouldn't really make any sense.
