    Strike vulnerability question

I’m confused the purpose of counter striking when it seems that a perfect counter strike still does minimal damage. I’m playing against the AI in career mode and I’m trying to be more cautious, absorb less damage and strike with precision. But it doesn’t seem like my strikes don’t have that impact I expect, even a well timed overhand or head kick when my opponent throws a strike or after I dodge. So how exactly does strike vulnerability work? Is precision counter striking a viable option? I would love tips to help

Damage seems a little wonky at the moment. I would suggest using the sliders in career mode to increase damage. You should be able to find a balance that works for you.

I tested this pretty heavily in practice mode with the damage indicator on.

Successful counters do more damage but it depends on the context of the situation. For example, if you slip a jab and counter, it does about 5% more damage than a regular strike. If you sway a straight, uppercut or hook and counter successfully, it does about 20% more damage than the regular strike.

So the heavier the strike, the more damage a successful counter does on it. Block counters do a TON of damage. The check hook counter does close to 100% more damage than a regular hook landed. I really like how this system works, because it keeps the jab a fairly safe strike. I do think they could increase the damage a bit for counters on the heavier strikes but they have the right idea.
      Lineup:
      PG) Gary Payton
      SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
      SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
      PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
      C) Hakeem Olajuwon

Ok that would make sense. I was hoping it would be something they did and not a slider thing, I hate constantly adjusting sliders haha. But thank you for that tip!

damage and stamkina are completely busted right now. Just like they were busted at the launch of 3. Makes no sense why it changed so drastically
