SINGLE UNDER ( SUB ) needs more options.

Love the game. I was just wondering if the fighter put in single under ( SUB ) can do more to attack the Single under ( DOM )

For example a slam for wrestlers if the DOM punches . Or a take down by grabbing the leg of the DOM .

    Just more options .

Also how about going back to single collar (becoming DOM ) from Muay Thai ( SUB ) ?

What do you guys think ?

Re: SINGLE UNDER ( SUB ) needs more options.

So I just confirmed that in single collar tie if your opponent ( DOM ) punches you (SUB ) , you can transition to single under ( DOM ) and attack your opponent ( SUB ) at will . Best to block strikes and build GA ( grapple advantage ) before doing this as the punches could interrupt this transition.

However with the current meta most people will go for the Muay Thai plum ( DOM ) by simply executing a knee. This won't work from the Muay Thai plum.

May I suggest that that an uppercut be available for the SUB in Muay Thai plum.

I would suggest that the single collar transition be available for the SUB in Muay Thai plum but I fear that would require a lot of working on the clinch and it could mess things up and I understand this is not an easy thing to do for the devs.

Also for the spinning of the camera exploit in the Muay Thai , might I suggest that a catch knee is available for the SUB fighter ???

In all , if someone is occasionally going for knees in the Muay Thai plum for all of three rounds surely the right balance would be a stamina drain consistent with output ????

This is the biggest issue with the game right now, as far as the competitive online scene is concerned. Surprised this isn’t getting more attention.

I’m all for keeping the clinch battles brief, but the current system is very lame. The SUB clinch fighter should not be forced to remain the SUB fighter for the entire duration of the clinch exchange.

I also hate the system of having to just move away. It feels like I’m just accepting that they’ve won the clinch battle and I’m trying to scurry away. As a grappler, I want to embrace the grind every time my opponent touches me. I want to be pushing INTO them - not running away. I want to be asserting my dominance, reversing the position - or at least have the option to try. Makes no sense that whoever initiates the clinch is never in danger, even if they set their controller down.

100 % . I agree with everything you said. Right now it feels like a coin toss , that you as the SUB can hurt your opponent without being blasted first.

I wonder what happens when both players clinch at the same time ? Giving both people an equal start .

That could be another deterrent to the clinch spammers.

Facts. The collar tie shouldn't feel so one dimensional, as it's still a pretty neutral position. The SUB fighter should have more options. Like td's, transition to over/under, ect. Collar tie is not a dominant position irl, as the game is making it seem. SUB fighter needs to be able to do more. However, I will say that the guy who initiates the clinch isn't totally out of the woods. I played a match the other day with my friend...he was using Anderson Silva and I had Jared Cannonier. He was clinching me alot at first and beating me up in the clinch with Anderson. Then at one point I blocked a thai clinch knee, hit him with a hook and knocked him down. This was a submissive strike mind you, and it hurt him bad...dropped him. After that he didn't even want to clinch me anymore cuz he was worried about getting cracked himself. So it's not all that bad, but I do agree with your statement. There needs to be more options for the SUB fighter. It's lame just have to back away. Especially if i'm playing as a grappler.
