No incentives to use weaker fighters

In UFC 3 there were fighters that were rated C+ to A+, this gave you more or less points depending on if you picked a weaker fighter or a stronger fighter.

We no longer have those ratings. So there is no incentive for people to choose lower rated fighters.

This paired with the one weight class an hour change in ranked has led to extremely boring match ups. I’d like to see those ratings back as well as an increase in the amount of division points you receive for using weaker fighters.

You mean to tell me know one is using Lauren Murphy when you are forced to play ranked women flyweight for an hour? Color me shocked 😮

Do the star ratings not serve the same purpose? I don't actually know I haven't played enough ranked.
      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've found success with Lil Nog and he's 3 1/2 star - Big Nog and Burns are 4 star and I whoop on 4 1/2 star guys no problem.

Best way to make lesser rated fighters viable is to know their ratings and movesets like the back of your hand. Most people have rarely matched up against those guys for example and don't know that Burns has the pull guard mount sweep, or the standing guillotine [emoji6] for example.

Especially now that we have one weight class per day, they need to have us pick our fighter BEFORE matchmaking, then set us up with someone who picked a fighter +- a half star. You can use the lower rated guys against other low rated guys, and high rated against high rated.

It's not per day it's per hour now - has been since official launch

Either way as long as there’s only one class at a time matchmaking shouldn’t be an issue.
