How UFC 4 Tutorial Should Be

Here's something from the gdc. I hope that the devs watch this and understand that retention is everything. The menu tutorials are underwhelming and don't offer any way to learn what your saying. We need to see the concept and then be able to practice it. Like stopping power or turns.

What else can I say? As you mention, you need to either explain the commands properly, or drill the moves until you got it. Look at any fighting game that makes you repeat a move endlessly until you pull it off.

In terms of takedowns, we do have an AI that can be made to do certain things that you program him to do, like takedowns. There's a slider that determines whether they turn or go straight (don't think it works though).

Would be nice if it was integrated in career more. The coach is content with you knowing how a punch and a takedown work.

I have watched it. It's a spectacular presentation and I enjoy being reminded of it as there are a lot of learnings to be had there. Our game is incredibly complex and we have struggled with properly tutorializing it. It is very difficult to give a complete overview of the gameplay without over whelming players. We have tried to provide features like introductory tutorialization via the career mode and practice mode for more focused practice, however we should do better at communicating the more nuanced mechanics.

Thank you for providing this feedback.

I think if ufc games had a tutorial just like this people would complain less and enjoy the game more. Alot of players want to get to the next level but there's not enough info or structure to do so.
