I hope not. The ground game was terrible last time around. No elbows and the way they handled posturing up was straight up egregious.

Imagine if I’m 2K they just removed the ability to do a crossover or in Madden there were just no more spin moves. That’s how I feel about no ground elbows.

Don't see Pride happening in this game when they can just save it as bait for the next one. Why would they give you something big like that if you already paid for the game itself?

They're just keeping the door open and hope to pull people in with doing so. But they've never given something big like that for free and I don't see why they would.

To still not have crossplay is just really bad IMO. It's 2023. Come on. It should have been in the last game already.

Well they specifically said they added elbows to the ground game, so that’s something.

Yeah I feel somewhat obligated to mention there is still the ability to bail out of a takedown drive as the attacker, if you think you're no longer going to land the takedown or just want to get into clinch.

That only applies to double & single leg takedown shoots however, as in UFC 4. Trips, throws, reversals, etc. don't have that branching takedown resolution.

I am really excited to see what the actual gameplay looks like

As someone who wants a sim, sounds good to me.

They’ve also added scorecards for decisions. Another good add (no idea why they didn’t have previously).
I've been begging for a sim mode for years now......YEARS!!!! Finally we get it!!! Hope I'm not asking too much but I REALLY hope we can play sim mode online. Or if not, maybe custom matches with custom slider settings even if just for Quick Match online.

I swear I've heard from 5 or 6 sources that there was confirmed changes to the whole ground game/grappling system. Who all said that the ground game was going to be exactly the same? Seeing as how the ground game was by far the biggest complaint about the last few EA UFC games, I just cannot fathom it was left exactly the same

I saw a quick comment about Sim mode. It was something like "real time, real clock." In sim there won't be a accelerated clock? I know it's sim and I'm sure there's changes but I feel like using a real clock that every fight will be a finish in the first round.

IRL if everyone fought like they do in a video game, everyone would get knocked out in first round. So, true statement.

I think most users will find out if this is a "careful what you wish for" situation.

The last few months I've focused on not getting hit in fights, creating challenges for myself that IRL, it actually hurts to get hit, let's play the game that way.

I've gone to more decisions than ever before, because it's harder to find knockouts when you pretend you aren't invincible.

This also made me better at shot selection. I learned real quick what works best at certain ranges if I don't want to get countered or run into something.

It'll be a lot easier for folks ro recognize how often they've been getting hit in previous games, and not really noticed, when those same shots ACTUALLY ALTER FIGHTS NOW.

I'm real excited to find out how the real risk of damage impacts fight styles by users. I can't wait.

Its been a while since i posted here, 2021 to be exact and glad there is some new info and the fifth iteration is coming next month. Regarding the simulation mode im very happy they are doing this as it was highly needed among us hardcore fans.

Can Skynet or someone else with the knowledge please confirm that this auto assist/magnetic striking will be removed or able to be manually disabled in simulation mode as its truly one of the biggest reasons spammers are able to pressure non stop. Having this in the previous games just made it hard for someone to swing and miss, then have the attacker counter with good footwork like IRL.

Secondly does anybody know if this simulation mode will be available in online ranked as a seperate lobby/ranking system for example?

Super hyped, excited, greatful for most of what's been confirmed so far 🙏🏻 especially as someone that's been asking for alternate versions of fighters for many years now.

The 1 thing that greatly disappoints me so far, is no crossplay. Especially as someone who lives in countries like Israel and Ukraine, there is much less low ping opponents than in NA at high ranked divisions.
