I can't trust Reddit. That place is always full of negative opinions. Leave a comment here about the beta.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Deep Dive Video with Martial Mind
The only thing I really dislike about the beta is that they didn't include a practice mode, or offline mode to get the hang of thr new controls and submission system. It's kinda like being thrown to the wolves, having not played an EA UFC game in many months and then jumping headfirst into online matches against guys much more skilled than I. I was hoping to do a few matches on normal difficulty just til I get controls down, but it is what it is. I don't wanna complain too much because many people didn't even get a code.Strikes actually have weight and impact now so I'm glad about that. Head movement us much more intuitive. Ground game......I need to work on it. Haven't had a chance to really learn it.Comment

Really did hope I would get a chance to play too. Maybe I should have just made a ton of accounts, cause 2 certainly did not get me anywhere.
Going off of impressions is not the same as getting a chance to play yourself.Comment

Had first doctor stoppage and I can say it felt legit.
I didn’t feel cheated by it. This was vs the cpu on simulation mode, normal difficulty in the contracts. I was gastelum and lost to WhittakerComment

Can you explain how sim-mode differs from standard mode?Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Deep Dive Video with Martial Mind
I can’t really… it’s the only offline option I have so I have nothing to compare it to except online which I can’t stand. It feels a lot better then my AI matches in ufc 4 thoughComment

Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
My issue with some of your posts is that you keep insinuating about the "minority/majority" and what they like and what they dont like based on absolutley nothing. I constantly hear from you and others about how this feature isnt in because of the "majority" or that feature isnt in and its all based on nothing....Like caf creation for example, we cant make our own caf properly and are forced to pick from some garbage archtypes because its not a popular mode? Well is it possible that its not a popular mode because its made poorly?
All other video games these days are giving out more freedom of choice, but for some reason with this one its the opposite based on some sort of unproven metric that is not even possible to prove accurately.
You have some of the biggest games in the genre with a proper caf mode, MLB the show, entire story lines from college to the pros based on the guy you create, NBA 2k has literally an entire park created for your player with endless amount of content but for this game we just cant figure it out?
Some game modes are more popular than others for different demographics. FIFA people love UT while in 2k MyPlayer is the main cash cow. MyPlayer would not work for FIFA because 2v2/3v3/whatever doesn't work in football and most people want to play as forwards. I doubt there is a big market for UFC 5 players who want to create a realistic CAF of Jason Miller.
What is it with this game that people love to argue about having less content and less mechanics for the purpose of some metric of casuals who apparently are on the border of being special ed that they dont know how to click 4 buttons on a controller in 2023? Its 2023 folks not 2000, video games have exploded and everyone knows what they are and how to play them, i dont get why this game is being treated like its something unique.
People are out here playing Elden Ring and darksouls games and running around playing onlyup and all sorts of games and no one ever mentions casuals or anything else, but bring up something EA UFC game doesnt have and its instantly "well cuz casuals duh", such a poor excuse for lack of effort and drive.
Heavy armor, bleed, summons, co-op etc etc etc¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
The 2k crowd for whatever reason was very receptive to using 99 overall CAFs with ridiculous apparel and dyed hairstyles whereas even this forum was opposed to UFC 4's tiger masks. The archetypes were clearly an attempt at promoting CAFs online without making them overpowered compared to the base roster. If you ever made the mistake of playing unranked matches on prior UFCs you would know that the CAFs were always 100 overall monstrosities.Comment

EDIT: Career mode had an attribute system and IIRC people were confused about why they couldn't use them online.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

Re: More EA Sports UFC 5 Gameplay Today at 5PM ET
Sure I could see that. However, it does run into a possible issue of people being confused about why their CAF cannot be used online though. I wouldn't put much faith into people when bleach products need to include a warning not to ingest them.

I understand you, but this will only happen with frustrated children, and taking into account that the age rating has been raised, this should happen less, since adults should understand better why you cannot have a CAF online with ratings all at 99.
However, not separating this from offline disappoints many fans who love to be able to completely edit their created fighters, since the archetypes end up being very repetitive, and leaves the authentic creations lame.Comment
