Not sure if it’s just me or anyone else is experiencing this. After the patch I am not getting Bruce buffer announce the winner of the fights. Had decisions, knockouts, etc where it just goes to the fight stat screen and shows the winner/loser but he doesn’t announce it. This is especially annoying for decisions.. I like the anticipation hearing it

I only play offline and Buffer is still announcing the winner,what you can't do since patch is SKIP as the fighter is already walking around after being announced winner,also if you skip at any time at entrances it will go straight to start of fight. Before you could hold skip 2 or 3 times by sections now it is the same as UFC 4 since this patch.

I can confirm this too.

1 skip now skips the entire entrance scene and goes straight to the start of the fight.

This was actually a feature they added that I liked and they've already removed.

That's wild.

The online short attention span "I just want to fight as many fights in a short amount of time so I can shoot up the leaderboard" crowd is truly eliminating folks like me from even entertaining the idea of paying attention to this game.

It seriously doesn't take THAT LONG to hold the button a couple times. It was what, an extra 3-4 seconds stopping you from immediately getting into the fight?

But now the choice is just...gone.

And those are the items that get focused attention but things like full Bruce Buffer intros, champion shorts, shorts for CAFs. Those are too much to ask for. It's nuts.

You've got to be kidding me. This is easily the worst game development team in the industry. It wouldn't be too much of an exaggeration to say this is one of the worst releases in next gen gaming history either.

They call it 'deciding where to best spend their resources.' Reality: They don't have the talent to make it work.

Ohhh. So to confirm… if I get a knockout or the fight ends by decision. If I skip the highlights it skips everything ? In order to get the winner announced I gotta watch it all. Just wanna make sure I understand cause I like hearing the winner announced haha

Now Wonderboy has lost his spinning kick to head X+O,X since update nothing happens,tried different inputs but still only spins. Renan Barao had the same problem but got fixed with new button inputs adding L1+O

Yup. Got a little time to play over the weekend and theres no more intermittent skips.

Just when you think that a game which released broken and incomplete couldn't possibly get any worse, EA's like "hold my beer." Then they'll blame it on imaginary metrics and community demands.

Not sure if this has been addressed, but since day 1 with this game I have yet to hear an end of round bell. The round merely ends with no sound whatsoever.

Every now and then I come back to the OS UFC forums. I think part of me is trying to convince myself to give this game a try. I want this series to be good so bad that I keep telling myself, maybe some patch is coming, maybe they’ll do something mid development cycle.

But instead every time I do it just confirms that I made a great decision to stay away from UFC 5. I literally have bought every UFC title since the first THQ day one no questions asked. There is just absolutely nothing that gets me excited for UFC 5

Just look at how dead these forums are, and how EA is practically begging us to buy 5 in the online store now lol. In 2 months, they will have cut the price even more I guarantee it.

Honestly, the deadness of this message board bothers me more than anything. lol

No one wants to discuss anything to better the game, like slider adjustments, best gameplay practices, hidden stuff etc...

Absolutely. I've never seen the forums like this, especially after the release of a new game.

Without hardcore users giving their input, there will be no counter balance to the pandering to the casuals. This worries me greatly. Good to see guys like you still coming in and giving critical feedback on major areas like the ground game.

Honestly, I think everyone has just given up. UFC 1 came out in 2014. Let that sink in. A full decade and they haven’t really added any new game modes outside of the college try they gave implementing ultimate team into UFC 2. They have actually removed more game modes from the game then they have added. No ultimate team, no UFC fight night pickem (they added something similar back this year, but not quite). Even the modes they decided to keep like event mode and career are just flat out stale at this point. I feel like this series is focused on trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to gameplay every development cycle instead of focusing on giving people reasons to come back and play. Us offline players have been asking for a universe/booker mode, or even just a revamped event mode since UfC 2. Shoot, undisputed felt like you were watching a real life event that you created every time you set one up.

Unless your like martial mind, Pryoxis, or Romero where your joy from this game comes from mastering the mechanics, beating other humans online, and ranking up on a leader board…. There just really is no reason to play this game. For UfC 2,3 and 4 I just used my imagination and a Microsoft excel sheet to create my own universe, but even that has become stale after doing it for 10 years.

I honestly just think that EA has accepted the fact that the people that play this game are a niche audience. It’s never going to take off as an e-sport which I think was the direction they were trying to pivot to around UfC 3, and it’s just not worth putting the money into developing this game into anything other than what it already is. I’m not trying to be Mr negative but I just don’t see anything that would indicate otherwise.

I feel like the company narrative every time a new UfC game comes out it “this cycle we really wanted to work on the gameplay. Once the game play is in a place that we like we can start adding more modes”. It’s been 10 years since the first UFC game! If the gameplay is not in a place your happy with now it never will be
