A lot of potential here. Like with most games like this, I think it's all going to depend on how you decide to play it. Personally, I'll play a lot more sim-like, taking my time to avoid damage while simultaneously trying to inflict as much as possible. -

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I loved how the ground game looked in this video. Its obvious the guy controlling Rampage didnt know how to use him. He should have finished Evans at the end of the first but decided to go for a leg lock after flooring him with a hook.
One nitpick:
The ref didnt even step between Ramp and Evans when he stopped the fight. In real life, Ramp would have just kept pounding on Evans until the ref stepped between.Comment

Watching guys play this game has been funny. I like how they'll throw kicks 10 feet away from their opponent. Button mashing makes for an ugly fight.
I'm glad I have finally seen a full match. Some of the movement isn't as fluid as I would like, but overall it looks prettty good to me. This series has an excellent foundation to build on, I can't wait to play it for myself.Comment

I also agree big time w/ you guys about how to play the game. I'm not going to throw 7-8 right hand power shots in a row like i've seen in some videos, but I hope that by playing more like a real fighter that it actually gives you the edge.
I wonder if there will be any sliders or things of that nature? I'm going to watch the video again, but rashad in particular should have been extremely tired with all the shots and kicks he threw.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I absolutely HATE that when a fighter gets injured the screen goes B&W and the sound goes all muted... Really ****ing hate it. Takes me right out the game watching that. I want to feel like I'm watching a fight when I play - and I've never seen that happen during a fight.Comment

Without strong enough gameplay visual cues (stumbling for example) these effects serve a purpose for the gamer. I don't think it's great, but it doesn't get on my nerves either.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

i understand your hate for it, and hope it's an option (doubt it). but I personally don't mind, because when you see ramp get knocked down early it didn't happen, but later knockdowns it happened. the difference is that it's a visual cue that the guy is really hurt and you might want to go all-out to finish him without worrying about depleting your stamina.

I would have rather, though, that they worked on a great stumbling system - and they really, really could have used Rogan to show that a fighter is really hurt. Rogan starts to scream in real life and get really excited when someone looks stunned - they easily could have put that in the game instead and really made the commentary shine that much more, while making the game that much more realistic.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I'd like to see someone play the game that actually understands the sport and the game controls. Rampage doesn't get mounted and then decide to stand up lol. A lot of questionable decisions by guys, especially after rocking someone.
Looks like it'll be fun though. I'm trying to temper my anticipation, not expecting the best game ever made (it's a first year game, to expect that is asking a bit much IMO). If it's fun and playable (which both appear to be true) then I'll be good to go.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yeah, the mute is kinda annoying.
