I probably played my buddy last night like 40 times him mostly as chuck. It's a different experience vs. humans.

I like both experiences, I just found that vs. a human, the strengths and weaknesses of each fighter becomes exaggerated. As Rua, I had to minimize aggression once my bud got better and better at playing. Lay and pray w/ a bit of ground and pound became a legit tactic and I one a few decisions out of necessity - trading w/ chuck ended almost everytime in a ko with me being ko'd. It obviously would vary depending on who you're fighting not just the fighter, but the gamer - but Rua vs Chuck w/ skilled gamers means that Rua will win by submission or decision 90% of the time and will very rarely get a ko or tko. My friend never got good enough w/ Rua to force a decision, so I'm not sure how the scores would have been had that happened.

Going punch for punch with Chuck is a really bad idea. If you want to stand up with chuck you're going to have move around use "step strikes" often and keep your hands up.

One thing I like to do is use a step jab to get in the inside and start a combination or immediately go for the muay thai clinch.

same thing happened to me this week. BUT, microsoft really made it all right - I dropped my system off at a UPS at 3pm on the 22nd, and got a package at my door just before 10am on the 24th - that's pretty amazing imo.

I had to pay 20 bucks for the packaging, but whatever.

Mine is out of warranty so they want $99 dollars. DOH!

how can that be? Mine was pretty much a launch system, i have no warranty - all i did was call 18004myxbox and told them what happened. 3 rings etc. - they emailed me w/ prepaid shipping page to give to the ups people.

if you 3 ringed, i don't see how you would have to pay anything. The key is not to go to a store, but just to call xbox over the phone.

I did and all I got was sir, you're system is over 3 years old and we can't offer a free repair.,

Just kicked it up to advanced and DESTROYED Chuck in the MT clinch. I LOVE the MT clinch. I get a lot of takedowns, but Chuck gets right out of anything I try to do.

My create a character will definitely have Muay Thai clinch.

EDIT: Just did it several more times in a row. My ground and pound sucks, but I OWN Chuck on the standup on Advanced. I love this game.

I see Cro Cop didn't get the benifit of near prime stats that Chuck did.

Instead of making a new topic thought I'd mention it here. Wal-mart has a bunch of UFC related console/controller/faceplate skins now. Also if you're in Canada and pre-order it there you get a GSP poster. I'm gonna save the $4-$8 and get it at FS with a price match to amazon since it's $69.99.

man, i just tried 2 fights on Expert using Chuck , and the action is much closer to real UFC pace then it was on Advanced. Much more tactical too because the CPU's defense is much tighter so you just can't go all out or else you'd get taken down and schooled on the ground.

First fight was even until the 3rd where I was starting to land some punches with Chuck then caught Rua with a counter left hook for the KO. Very satisfying.

2nd fight Rua just took me down due to my overagressiveness early in the fight and sapped my energy. 2nd and 3rd I wasn't effective and couldn't land anything big. Rua got me on the ground and just outmaneuvered me. Lost unanimous decision with very little connects on punches/kicks from BOTH fighters.


Has anyone played on Expert and successfully won by submission?

If it's possible on a realistic level, this might be level to go with once the game comes out.

Man this is game just keeps getting better and better , I haven't touched the Show for the last 2 days with this demo. i really think FNR 4 has huuuuge competition for years to come.

To be honest, It's gonna be really hard for them to top UFC undisputed this year. The game is so damn fresh, organic, and very spontaneous.

Best fighting game I've ever played by far.

Yeah man, expert is where it's at. I finally got a flying armbar submission on Chuck the other night. It was late in the third and I stunned him with a front kick to his stomach. I did a quick single collar tie and slapped it on. I was shocked that he actually tapped out.

The thing I like about this game is that there's never going to be a point where you've mastered the game so much that you're guaranteed to win every time. I feel like I'm pretty solid on expert right now, but there are still moments when I do something stupid and get caught or subbed.

I got a stoppage by doing body shots from the mount. Think that's a new one.
