Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
Just a quick comment on technique spinning the right stick:
I haven't played many matches on expert yet (maybe 10-15) but still have managed to get two submissions - one in the 2nd, other in the 3rd. I've got several on advanced, though.
The way I do it, is holding the controller in my left hand and putting the RS in the space between my right thumb and palm, just at the base of the thumb. Then I spin the RS fast, but clean - never sacrifice speed for the possibility that you might miss a clean spin, that always leads to an escape. Just keep spinning, patiently (like you should do your ground game), and you'll finally get it in.
From my experience, speed is inferior to clean spins - keep spinning at a high but safe pace, making sure you make those clean circles. Spinning away like a madman will only make you miss a circle or two and the guy is out. Blisters are out of the question: if you work hard enough to get a blister, chances are you'll miss the circles.

How many times did you guys beat Liddell on expert? I only beat him once so far...I think I need more practice..Comment

If you get him on the ground and in the mount, the fight is over. Just transition block and throw hammerfist.
OTOH, Shogun on Expert is a biotch to fight. Thankfully, he's met the knee of doom a few times when he has tried to take me down. Chuck is so dominating on his feet, it's sick.Too Old To Game Club

Get him in the clinch, work the body as well. Take him down in the clinch and work from there. That is usually the best way to do it, unless you can catch him throwing a punch or kick.Too Old To Game Club

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
Almost always - he's so one dimensional that I really only lose when there's a freak flash-ko. On the other hand, fighting as Liddell, I get caught by Rua in submissions out of nowhere maybe 1 of every 4 fights. I find it harder to fight as one-dimensional fighters, and I find it pretty easy to be them (well, Liddell).Last edited by MC Fatigue; 05-15-2009, 10:32 PM.Comment

Only knock on Chuck is that he isn't good on his back. When I play against Rua (expert) I usually beat him with gnp. You just have to be careful with your timing, as Rua will often look to reverse you..::..::::::::.:.:.:.:....:::.:.::::..:.:::....:::: ...:..::."When you're an assassin, you don't have a conscience"-Gilbert ArenasComment
