How long do you think this game will last before you get bored with it ?
I can honestly say I have played this demo well over 300 times. The most played demo I ever had. And with 96 fighters, hundreds of moves and hundreds of submission moves........

Good sports games stay in my rotation all year long, this will be no exception. I'll be rocking this until the next one drops. -

if the fighters have different styles, different strategies, different aggression levels, this game could last me at least a full 6 months or more of constant playing.
The demo is a good sign as Shogun and Liddell have completely different styles and AI logic and it is very clear when you're playing against them. I've played the demo non-stop basically since its release and I haven't gotten bored of it in the least, and that's with 2 fighters. Every fight has a different feel and you never know exactly how it will end.
for example using Lidell:
you want to be aggressive, but not too aggressive because Shogun will take you down or if you fatigue yourself, you're ripe for a submission. If you're too passive , shogun will pick u apart and u'll lose on points or even a high kick KO.
Using Shogun:
do not trade with Liddell or it's lights out, be very patient, utilize takedowns and wear liddell out. But one mistake, and a big punch by Liddell, game over.
So much strategy involved in this game against the CPU, much more than I expected . Right now, using Liddell, people can afford to be more aggressive than usual because he has good takedown defense , so a missed attack isn't too bad. But using a good striker with average to below avg takedown defense will make players fight differently because a missed punch will land you on the ground more times than not. just so many possibilities.Last edited by phillyfan23; 05-07-2009, 07:37 PM.Comment

Career is the 'franchise' and it sounds good, but that's my real passion for this game will be building fighters the way I want and seeing them progress until I'm fighting all the top dogs.
online is always cool and i'll be doing leagues, but the single player will still get most of my time.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

This should easily last me for a long, long time.
I've played the demo for hours, and it's just two fighters. I just don't get tired of it.
I imagine having the full roster will make this game hard to ever put down.Comment

Yeah, as long as the AI stays challenging on Expert (it certainly is in the demo) and/or the online community stays active (I imagine it will with all the hardcore UFC/MMA fans), I should be a part of it. Barring some game-killing balance issues, glitches, etc., the game is completely awesome, and with the huge stable of fighters, I don't see getting tired of this for a long time. Assuming it's an every 2 years type of game and not a yearly release, I'll be playing it for a very long time.
I've also played the demo at least 300 times... it's "Rematch, Rematch, Rematch" for 2 hours every time I fire up the game it seems like. And I've only played NBA 2K9 (my main rotation game) once since I got the demo over 3 weeks ago... that says it all.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

The game can be so random and off, what I mean by that is you can spend 3-5 rounds beating your opponents head in and he won't budge. In the next fight he could go down in one punch, and I've played the game on all difficulties, and this happens on all difficulties.
Because of that I see this game lasting a long, long time, I've played the demo close to 250 times and I am not sick of it yet. With Create a Fighter mode and the game dropping with close to 90 fighters I don't see myself EVER getting bored with it.
Then there's online mode, and there is a trophy/achivement there that intrigues me.
"Gain one million fans online" really has me curious.Comment
