Johny Hendricks vs. Paulo Borrachinha at UFC 217

What a horrible matchup for Johny Hendricks. Paulo Borrachinha is going to destroy this man.

Why would the UFC give Johny Hendricks such a dangerous fight against a killer? This is not the right way to get him back on track. They need to be giving him easy fights like they have been doing for Suga at MW.

This might end up being his last fight in the UFC if he takes another L and misses weight.

This brings up a good point. Is it the UFC's responsibility to get him "back on track"? He is well paid compared to most (100/100) so they shoudnt have him fighting scrubs. If I'm the UFC either he beats up and coming guys like Paulo or he loses to them and Paulo gets a big name on his list.

For ufc matchmakers maybe this is their attempt to save 100k? Johny is a small middleweight, and Paulo is a monster.

I'm curious why Hendricks even accepted this fight.

Its easy to tell that they are trying to give this future star a big time name for his next fight before they send Johny packing on his way out. Looks like they are going to use him one last time to build up this kid.

It shows me that they lost all respect for Johny and don't really care what happens next for him. I guess he did it to himself for missing weight so much and just not seeming to care enough about his body. They need to be feeding him low ranked non threats like they have been doing for Suga at mw.

Man.. As a seriously huge Silva fanboy.. . . . this fight has me scared.

Whineman only was able to beat Gas cuz he's friggin huge. I mean, yeah some slick wrestling technique no doubt, but the dude is just way way bigger than Gas.

Gas is so fast and slick with that Rafael Cordeiro striking now though... I'm afraid Silva might get starched.

Ngannou calling for Reem after Reem was eying the winner (assuming he wasn't already getting the Stipe rematch). I think there's no way Overeem takes that fight on 3 weeks notice.

I don't think Overeem will fight Ngannou either, but that would be exciting. Maybe they should scrap the Werdum-Lewis fight and get us that Black beast v Ngannou fight.
