    Re: MMA Off-Topic

UFC doesn't renew Jimmy Smith, I think he was with them less than a year.

UFC doesn't think Cyborg deserves rematch, even though there is legitimately no one that deserves a title shot at 145 besides Cris.

Greg Hardy moved up to co-main event on first ESPN show with his stellar 2-0 record.

UFC making some decisions that really baffle me lately.

      -Designing new belts
-Eubanks vs Valentina PPV main idea
      -cats and dogs living together

I wonder how much a headless chicken in Endevour(sic) is running things instead of Dana.

Any promotion will be lucky to have Jimmy Smith.

I'm convinced Dana is calling the shots. Some of the decisions are so crazy that no rational person could have come up with them.

You have to have a very peculiar train of thought to even come up with some of these ideas in the first place.

Also I thought Jimmy Smith was killing it.

Same. I loved hearing his commentary and take on fights.

Ugh, Jones is back on the P4P list. It's like the UFC loves to punish active fighters.

I don't care. UFC has pretty much broken my spirit.

Yeah, at this point I'm looking for other promotions to get my fix, but PFL doesn't do elbows, and Bellator/ONE is a bigger ****show than the UFC

The MMA we fell in love with is over; I know that's a bit dramatic. My interested has been nowhere near what it used to and like you said, for various reasons, no other organization can feel that void right now.

                      - Rumor has it that ESPN didnt love Smith and his contract was up. They are moving Bisping to the booth. So with Bisping, Cruz, Felder, DC, Hardy and Rogan, they had more than enough color commentators. Smith is good though but I understand the decision.

                      - Did i miss something? When did someone say Cyborg didnt deserve another shot? Her contract is up and they no longer have the champions clause to keep her under contract. She has been very open about wanting to do other things like boxing and MT so alot of it has to do with her. Furthermore, there really arent any 145s left other than Anderson (and Holm).

Why does the UFC get blamed for this? They dont control the p4p list. The media does because they vote on it (I do have an issue with who the UFC has voting but thats a different argument). ****, ESPN has a separate p4p list and they have Jones #1

Why does Aholbert stick up for the UFC and not the fighters?

Why does Aholbert disagree with everything? (Disregard, I forgot he was a lawyer.

Next you gonna justify Jones metabolites and Greg Hardy?

I just stated facts. The fact that she is no longer under contract makes it kind of difficult to schedule her next fight. We can just ignore the many statements that she's made for YEARS about being unhappy with the UFC and wanting to do other things. That helps your argument. Or we can take a more rounded view and assume that making a deal with a free agent (a well paid free agent at that) isnt going to be easy and this is all apart of a negotiation.

Regarding Smith, I just gave you some information behind why Smith is gone. Take it or dont.

My bad. I forgot that this part of the forum has become an MMA echo chamber. Everything the UFC does is bad and everything the fighters say is fact and good. Got it. I'll leave you to posting incomplete information and complaining about it.

                              hahah!

The UFC can very much control the rankings.

If I was Cyborg I'd see if Bellator had a good offer+ ability to bring in her own sponors. I'd watch Cyborg vs Budd.
