    Re: OS MMA Random Thread

I hear you, man. But unless I'm forgetting something his last handful of fights in the UFC have been him plodding around looking for a bomb. Again, I could be forgetting a fight but none of his recent fights (UFC) have left me wanting to see more from him.

Rampage is a top 15 LHW still but I think that speaks to how shallow the division is more than how good he is.

Oh I completely agree with that. I don't think Rampage will win many fights with this ufc run. Still he is a top 15 lhw and deserves to be in the ufc.

I'm fine with him coming back to the UFC as the division is weak, but I doubt he wins a fight unless they give him someone who will stand in front of him. I just don't like the lets have him on air for ~#15 fighter during a card. Its not like he is a top fighter and they don't invite other fighters they sign for an interview on a card (fringe fighters who you could see in UFC or other local/lesser or the young up and coming)

He is a bigger name than 3/4 of the roster right now. The only names in the division on par with him in the lhw division are jones, Cormier, Evans, shogun and maybe gus. He also is a former ufc champ and responsible for 2 of the 5 biggest ppv buys in ufc history.

My question is what is the difference between him and Lesnar. I don't think Lesnar could beat most of the top 10 at this moment. Lesnar hasn't won a fight in 4 yrs. Brock's style hasn't changed at all and he still can't take a punch.

With all that said, if the ufc signs him they will do the same if not more than what they did for Rampage. The fact is rampage and Lesnar are still two of the biggest names in mma and it's a big deal when they sign new contracts.

This is pretty much my take on him as well. Although, honestly though I would love to see him and Rashad fight again. Other than that he would have some nice co-main event type match-ups against other over the hill guys like Shogun and Hendo.

He's a name and that's about it... and if the UFC wants to continue putting on as many cards as they currently are, then they need as many names as they can get.

Dominick Cruz has suffered another ACL injury. He looked great last fight, I wanted to see him in there against Dillashaw. This guy can't catch a break.

Devastating news. Three ACL injuries now, plus the torn groin. Guy can't catch a break.

I think Barao has something to do with it. In one day, the two other BW contenders have been taken out.

its gonna be interesting to see who Dillashaw will line up against with Barao just fighting and given the weight cut fiasco last time, aren't Faber and Dillashaw teammates

                            No way, man.

I was just watching this interview last night. That sucks.

I guess that extreme footwork is a big part of his injuries.

Great Q&A on the UFC lawsuit:

On Dec. 16, a group of fighters filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Zuffa, parent company of the UFC.
