Good on Bellator they have agreed to cover all of Cyborg's medical costs and give him his win bonus.
Great article by Jack Slack about the event:

Could you imagine if Page landed any follow up strikes after knockdown? Portably would have killed the guy.

        Crazy injury.

The fact they arent on TV isnt an excuse for those low payouts. Bellator airs all their prelims on Spike.com and Bellator.com. Its no different than when the UFC was airing the opening prelims (the first 3 fights) on Facebook before Fight Pass came along. Even back then, you never saw the UFC pay its opening fighters 1k/1k.

Also Bellator doesnt have budget issues at all. The large majority of its revenue is generated from TV. How? Because they are owned by Viacom, they have reduced production costs, get to keep most if not all of the ad revenue (The UFC doesnt in its Fox deal) and a ton of free advertising across Viacom owned networks. They dont have PPV (which is a big revenue generator) but thats because they dont have the fighters to draw PPV numbers and PPV is very expensive to run.

I'm not saying they are on par with the UFC but they arent WSOF or Legacy FC either. They generate enough revenue that they could find a health insurance policy or pay its fighters more than 1k/1k.
Bellator has revenue issues upcoming. Not as a parent company as Viacom has tons of money, but Bellator has a budget they have to stick too. Kimbo was the best drawer and now the TV numbers are taking hits.

Signing Henderson was costly and who knows if it ends up being worth it. They also don't have a lot of star power coming up, really only MVP.

They need to find some young talent quickly and hope the headliners keep people watching.

They are big enough to provide health insurance, maybe not for training, but full coverage for any injury during fights and any issues that keep you from fighting afterwards.

Brock Lesnar UFC 200 fight night drug test also came back positive for same substance he failed the first test.

            Chael called this one.

Brock failed the in-competition drug test at UFC 200 as well.

"This positive drug test will likely be lumped into the previous one as a single potential anti-doping violation. According to the UFC's anti-doping policy, two positive tests could be considered aggravating circumstances, which could lead to further sanctioning. In-competition is considered the 12-hour window before and after a fight."

Weird. Read it was clomiphene estrogen modulator

Funny that when Brock was busted arrested for steroids it was actually HGH so obviously the charges for steroids couldn't stand.

HGH is pretty common in doping.

Dana had to ask him it he was clean before 200, right?

I love the fact that he called Jon Jones unprofessional and then turned around and failed a drug test for one of the same drugs.

Hah, yeah. Kind of reminds me of when Chael and Wanderlei.

It makes me truly wonder what percentage of the UFC roster uses. I know we will never truly know the stone cold numbers but I would just love to look behind that curtain and see everyone who is on something and who isn't.

That's a nice rifle Jones has.

Movie looks good, but seems like it could be pretty intense in some areas.

My only thing is people all over, especially this forum, blasted Ronda and other fighters for stuff like that yet when its a fighter they like, like MVP, anything goes.

I agree with you to a large extent. It's fighting. I just can't help but notice inconsistencies with MMA fans where some fighters are celebrated for antics that other fighters are blasted for.

With Rousey it was a lot of the inconsistencies. She'd be a bitch, but then cry victim. If you're an asshat, be an asshat.
