Toronto too! I can try this one place, but it's iffy.

When I lived in Toronto, that one game store by Yonge and Bloor (just south of it in that little mall with the coffee shop and that Zing! place [if it's still there]) used to always have games a little early. I don't know if they still do, as I moved from there about 8 years ago, though. Hell, I don't even know if it's still open.

Eh, I'm going to wait, too many freebies with Best Buy and Gamestop to get it early at a Mom and Pop store.

The best I could do is Monday at midnight. The game must be catching on big time because the street date is being taken way more seriously than other games. They're all scared to sell it. I did some sweet talkin' but no dice.

So Toronto, is not giving in as far as I know and the store I'm going to (Gamerama on Yonge near Eglington) is apparetly the only one doing a midnight release. I'm allowed to say store since they're not breaking any rules!

I also tried EB games just for fun and it was laughable how quickly they were all like "no, street date is blah blah...illegal...blah blah...fines...blah blah."

They said the game has an ID on it which will be seen by THQ and they will track the code to the exact retail store. While I concede that's certainly possible, I am willing to be THQ doesn't give an arse and wouldn't bother going through all that trouble and man hours just because someone sold the game a few days early.

I wish I had it. I tried.

More like it is Dana White and the UFC that keeping a close eye on it. Because I can see them being able to afford and put that stuff on their game. THQ on the other hand, couldn't afford to do such a thing on their own.

I don't have any mom & pops stores around my way. It's nothing but Best Buy, Super Wal-Mart, EB,Gamestop, etc. I probably wont go out at midnight because I don't like the people who come out to those things. However, I will definitely pick it up first thing Tuesday morning.

I've not been to one, but I'm going - I'm starting a school thing that is 6 days a week over 9hr days, it starts tuesday. I'm not there for any conversation or to take in the sights, I expect to walk straight in, pay and get the hell out of dodge. I'll even go 5-10 min after to skip the initial whatever. I don't mind being tired as hell the next day since that'll be the most I'll get to play until sunday since the courses ramp up intensity really quickly.

Called and found out my Gamestop is doing the midnight release so I'll definitely be going to that and ready to play ALL morning long.

i got a place in NJ that i always get games early from but i'm gonna wait until next week and get it from Best Buy. I dont NEED the game right this second, i can hold off until the release.

Not in Vancouver so even if it works out tomorrow I can't share anyway. They don't always get them early,I figured they'd have Street Fighter IV early but they didn't.

I'm not in a hurry either. I have multiple stores within a 15 minute drive of me. Hmmm let me count, 4 Gamestops, 3 24 hour Walmarts, Best Buy, FYE, Toy R Us, and Game Crazy. Plus 2 Radio Shacks that sell 360 games.
