4 way to earn cred= fight signed, performance bonus, fight award bonus, sponsorship bonus

    sucks
    <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
    <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

you can be a last minute substitute when a fighter is injured in training
Your fighter cant injure themselves in training
you can refuse a last minute fight at no penalty but accepting the fight will earn you bonus cred and will cancel your currently scheduled fight
    improving your fighter
as you advance thu the UFC ranks, you unlock bigger and better training equipment that boost ur fighter stats more efficiently
**once you start getting into the 70s on your attribute scores (strength, speed, cardio) youll notice that you cant improve one without lowering the other two...do you wanna excel in strenght but be slow as a sloth, or be quick and agile?

<!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --> heres a breakdown of attributes and fighting styles

    Strength
fighters with higher strength inflict greater damage with their strikes, and have an advantage when attempting grappling moves, often overpowering with brute force. strength also helps with brute force submission escapes

    Speed
speed determines how quickly a fighter can execute his moves.the higher the speed, the faster the fighter can punch and grapple, and the shorter his opponents window is for blocking or countering.

    Cardio
cardio is a measure of a fighter's maximum energy reserves. the more cardio a fighter has, the more active he can be during the fight before he gasses.
    not much
but here is what they have on the 6 styles

    BOXING
boxing strikers have a background in the sport of the same name. Their standing offense is made up of a variety of punches, at the expense of kicks and knee strikes. They have additional technique-specific punches available to them (not listed in the guide???) , but they lack technique specific kicks
the most important skills for fighters using Boxing are standing strikes

    Kickboxing
Uses many of the same punching strikes as boxing but incorporates a number of kick into the fighters striking offense.

Fighters using kickboxing shou bump up their standing strikes and standing kicks

    MUAY THAI
Standing kicks, Clinch striking, and ground striking are all important skill categories for a muay thai fighter

    BJJ
fighters using BJJ should focus on their submission ground grapple skills with additional emphasis on takedown or clinch grapple skills to get thier opponent to the ground

    WRESTLING
Ground grapple and clinch grapple are a wreslers most important skills

    JUDO
Judokas can execute strong throws for over/underhook clinches to ground opponents and take a advantaged position.it also allows grounded fighters on the defensive to escape extremely disadvantaged positions and return to a standing position immediately.
Clinch Grapple and ground grapple skilss are important for a judoka

WHEN YOU START YOUR CAREER YOU WILL BE A LEVEL 1 IN EACH OF THE TWO SETS YOU CHOOSE. TRAINING CAMPS WILL ALLOW YOU TO BECOME LEVEL 2 AND 3 WHICH WILL ALLOW MORE MOVES

This is all that is listed for the styles
There's a little more in the thread, like some stats from a couple fighters and a couple random signature move listings, but these were the most notable to me.

For anyone wondering, he said the strategy guide was a waste of money.

I can't believe people actually buy those things but I appreciate the info. I kind of like that you can't max out CAFs.

As long as a boxer can throw those hard kicks to the ribs, he'll be fine. Headkicks are overrated.

      GSP's special moves sound cool.

Re: Info from the strategy guide

each fighter has a 2 page layout 1 just like the one bisping had that i posted the other day. just has a big pic of them, their real life stats, a game stats and attributes and lists if they have special signature moves (not many fighters have these) for example Sugar Rashad is a boxer and so is bisping but they have a sig move head kicks
So headkicks for some boxers. Nice.

Yeah, certain boxers in the game have a head kick or two. I don't think CAF boxers will be able to get them, though, but I can't imagine that'll be a big deal, because if someone wanted a boxer with head kicks, they'd pick kickboxing.

I'll still buy the strategy guide, just to have it. Give me something to read when I go to the bathroom LOL. But I am very glad you can't max out stats on CAF.

This will most certainly prevent people from cheesing online, who planned on creating Fedor and Coutoure with a 99 rating for everything.

Side note: It seem Judo CAF's will be the weapon of choice, since they can escape damn near anything to a standing position. But anyway I already knew I planned on playing as Karo Parisyian and Nakamura alot anyway.

To be honest, I don't find the ability to not max out CAF's good at all. I hope for the single player we can somehow create a fighter with whatever stats we want.

For online all they had to do was give a fighter a number of stat points, and let you distribute them (like they used to in many sports games) as you would had you gone through career mode.

I really want to use judokas and see how they'll play out. A lot of people are planning to use them.

I like not having maxed out fighters.

To me.....Judokas are going to poise a serious threat to all the ground and pound players out there. Being that they can escape anything with ease to a standing position, nobody will be able to keep them down.

So out of the top 5 rankings online, I'll say it now and go out on a limb and say about 3 of those players will be Judokas.

Because my assumpation right now is the only way to beat a Judoaks would be to stand and bang, without getting to close to them to let them grab you.

You can do that, sort of. There's two ways to create a guy. If you want to take him through a career, you create him with terrible stats, nothing above a 30. But you've got 7 years of a career to raise those stats up to those of the other fighters in the game so you're on even footing online.

Or you can just create a guy without going through the career with him, in which case you'll get about 75% of the points to distribute that you would have gotten by going through the career.

For example, if you brought a guy through a career you might get every stat up to an 80 (not really, but it's an easy number). If you just created him to use online without going through a career, every stat would be a 60.

Maybe next year they can do something like at the 7 year mark they give you the option to retire. If you do, you can use that CAF online. If you don't, you can't use that CAF online, but you can continue that CAF's career another 5 years or something so you can get a super crazy CAF if you want.

they may have transition sthat get them from ground to standing but the still have to execute said transition without having it blocked. They may not have the advantage you think. Chuck is a strong wrestler and should get up with ease, but i can hold him down almost an entire round with shogun if i tried.

                          This.

It won't be as easy as you think. All one has to do is block transitions to their hearts content. Slip in a transition when the guy starts throwing strikes. I am interested to see how Judokas fight though. Luckily, I drafted Karo so I'm making it a priority to learn it front to back.
