    CAF ratings

is there a way to make a CAF be highly rated without doing the career mode? It seems like they only give you enough points to make them in the high 70's.

Nope, you just gotta take the points that they give you.

      Re: CAF ratings

I finished my first career and my guy is rated... just 77 I guess the potential sparring points I got were quite awful. My sub offence is insane: 105 after bonuses, and my defence is like 92.

Ground off & def is very high too, both in the mid 80s. Takedown def is in the 80s with off being 60s.

Everything else is.. well... sucky, lol. My striking group is like mid 50s, clinch is non existant, and GnP isn't terrific.

Ugh... I thought he'd be rated higher... maybe I'll go through it on easy and get all his stats higher.

I thought I did good with my guy and his ratings, but after seeing what some people are getting I'm dissapointed. Gonna go back through and do less autographs, and all sparring mixed with training.

Strength is 92, cardio is 70's, speed is 80's. All striking stats are in the 80's but everything else is in the 70's. Well rounded, but need to get higher ground stats.

See, I think that's too high. I can't imagine a situation where you'd submit a guy a 105 skill where you wouldn't submit him with a 90 skill (which is still one of the highest in the game).

I would have left it at an 80, let your fully maxed level 3 BJJ (presumably) take it to a 92, and spend those 400+ sparring points you used to level your submission offense even higher and use it on things like standing strikes defense, standing kicks defense, and clinch striking defense so you last long enough to get the fight to the ground.

Hypothetically, say those three ratings were each at a 50. With 400 points, you could raise two of those ratings by 20 points and the third by 15 points. That's 55 total rating bumps while still having an elite submission offense.

It's important to focus on how you can win a fight, but it's also important to focus on how to not lose a fight. You shouldn't sacrifice one for the other.

The highest overall i've gotten for a non-career CAF is 84 for Alistair Overeem.

edit: Ricardo Arona topped out at 86. So if you wanna make someone and not go through the career mode it isnt like you're gunna be gimped much if at all.
