Overall rating are very good yes they are small stuff but it to soon to make changes that you want,a trend should take place before changes are made.

Also you think you have an idea of what the rating but you really know. What does a 5 point change in stat represent,To make a person a power punch what is need to change standing strikes or strength,etc... I have more faith in game makers being right than fans.

It clear game makers are looking at something to make these rating.I will leave you with this

How many punches did Rampage throw against Liddell ?
How many times submission attempts does Machida have in his ufc career?
How many jabs did Brock lesnar throw against Mir?
Does anderson silva struggle against south paws?

They have access videos and statistic that you don't have plus they know what it means for their game.I am saying the get it right all time but so far in most case the rating are great with some small hiccups.

I'm not saying I'm 100% right, that all of my suggestions are correct and this is how it should be.

Its my opinion, they are just suggestions. I watch alot of fights, I have a general idea what specific fighter is good or bad at. Then I compare their ratings in the game and try to come up with a logical suggestion.

If you don't agree with it, thats your opinion. All I'm saying is the rating system for this game in my opinion has holes and it could be improve from an UPDATE or PATCH.

I play alot of sports game, updated ratings is a must now-a-days. And that's all I'm really trying to push for.

I totally agree with your ideas regarding Lyoto Machida added moves.

Straight punch to sway back is a perfect signature punch for him. He does that all the time in his fights.

A taunt that lets him dodge attacks sounds like a pretty good idea. But does he need it, not really. I mean you can get out the way by just flicking the analog.

I agree on the Muy-Thai clinch whip. He should definitely have that in his arsenal. I want to knee people in the head with Machida.

His takedown offense and defense is indeed underrated and should have good throws besides the pull to open guard BJJ takedown. The drop to side control takedown from wrestling and the judo leg trip would be perfect.

And a signature Karate combination kick would be icing on the cake.

There should definitely be an update on Machida.

          .
Chuck Liddell has good takedown d,Takedown refers to somebody wrap you in clinch or shooting at you and stop them.Sokoudjou, Nakamura, and B.J penn weighing 191 when machida was 220 had no probelms taking him down.

Machida has awesome footwork and evasion that most fighters have probelms closing the range to get hold him, but when you do you can take him down but don't why people would try Machida has out grapple everyone on the ground.

And that aspect of Machida is done perfectly in game he has 80 speed highest in game,He has nearly 80 in every defense catogory and high 80's in a good bit of those. If something needs to be change it not is anything with his defense,it is his standing strikes(53) and strenght(49) which has shown over his last two fights is better than people than taught.

PS Liddell has Takedown D of 53,Machida has a 62

No Chuck's takedown offense is a 53 but takedown defense is an 88.

More than a anything though, a good takedown slam in his arsenal would do just fine. I want to be able to slam people with Machida. That pull to openguard takedown is getting annoying. His takedown defense is really underrated, i can't emphasize that enough. Against Tito, he couldn't even take him down once and Machida threw him around like he was nothing. That says alot considering how strong Tito is when he gets a hold of you.

But in the game when I face people against wrestlers and judo I get slam most of the time. Really hard to defend it with Machida unlike in real life.

I like to counter punches but once you get in a grapple you really can't do anything but drag your opponent to the floor with BJJ.

The only fighter who has BJJ with a good takedown slam is Nog. He has his own signature hip takedown slam. Why not for Machida.

                256K BEWARE!!!

Browsing through the internet and found some animated gifs of Lyoto Machida.

Definitely need to add takedown slams in his repertoire, drop to sidecontrol from Wrestling and the leg trip from Judo would be a perfect fit.

He does use leg trips but also use thai clinch and wrestling throw

Good Fighters like Machida,Silva and Gsp mix three or more styles.Hopeful next year version will at the least will have Karate for striking and Sambo for grappling.

In perfect world we would get

                  Grappling
                  Greco-Roman,Freestyle,Shoot fighting(Pancrase),BJJ,Judo,Sambo, **Sumo

                  Striking
                  Kick Boxing,Muay Thai,San Shaou,Boxing,Karate,***Taekwando, *Capoeira.

In small packets that you can mix together to make a fighter.

*Andre Gusamo use Capoeria if you watch how he moves(when he isn't getting knock out) you can see it

** Machida use sumo supposedly.Eventually a undersized sumo with some training will do decent in mma realm

***There isn't anyone i can find who has taekwando has their main base but axe kick, round house and many other kick originated from taekwando. If you want to learn how to throw good head kicks taekwando would be a good place to start

Stephan Bonner's base is Tae Kwon do, as well as a couple of others. you're right about a bunch of kicks comming from TKD though, David Loiseau's jump spin back-kick to the body for the TKO was a picture perfect example.

I hope for next game they smooth out some transitions and don't make it so "ok, now i'm in a wrestling clinch". From underhooks you should be able to transition to the MT clinch. You should be able to exit clinches w/ wild elbows too.

I hope we get many animation for the same move too. multiple even for different states too if possilbe (gassed, hyper killer instinct, normal, sloppy etc.)

add more automated moves like checking leg kicks, and bobbing and weaving for defensive ratings over 80.

gsp is pretty mush good at everything, but it is hard to show that when you can only choose one strike and one grapple for each fighter.

I notice a few fighters need discipline changes. Nate Marquardt should have Kick Boxing rather than Boxing. Nate has good kicks but with boxing he has no high kicks. His standing kicks offense is a 52 which is underrated in my opinion.

A Kick Boxing base with a flying knee instead of a superman punch would be perfect for Nate.

Nate Marquardt: Boxing -> Kick Boxing
Ben Saunders: Kick Boxing -> Muy-Thai
Yushin Okami: Boxing -> Kick Boxing

Cheick Kongo should have Muy-Thai instead or Kick Boxing.

These are the only ones i noticed that was wrong. I hope they fix it through an update. Maybe not but i'm just putting it out there.

After watching the Sanchez vs. Guida fight where Diego knockdown Clay with a high kick to the face. Diego needs a high kick with the strong leg only, like Josh Koscheck.

Since Diego is a Southpaw he usually does his high kicks with his left leg only. But there isn't a southpaw stance in the game so the right leg will do.

Same thing goes for Rich Franklin (Southpaw Boxers with high left kicks).

Kongo is very much a kick boxer.Problem with game is most good mma fighters use more than two fighting style.

Sanchez was using high kicks and rubber guard.I try to create Jon Jones CAF it is impossible feat to recreate his style in this game.

Jon Jones use spinning back fist, judo throws, wrestling slams,Muay thai clinch,Flying knees.

Hopeful undisputed 2010 let us mix styles together better.

Cheick Kongo is a kickboxer/muy-thai but a muy-thai base is better suited for his style. He throws alot of knees and elbows.
