This guy("Kimbo") proved that you can't just bring in a street fighter into the world of MMA. I'll be waiting for news of him moving to boxing though.

He isn't cut out to be a fighter at all. He fought pizza delivery guys and out of shape rejects on youtube...I would bet my life there are at least 10 OS'ers who would have steamrolled the crop Kimbo did on youtube.

If he didn't have the "look," he would never have received so much attention. He is a scrub.

EXACTLY!!!! He fought fat, out of shape, nobodys in backyard fights. If he wasnt a jacked, black guy with a big beard he wouldnt get any of the attention he gets.

I think the best way to put it is that his mentality won't get him far in MMA. He might do ok in boxing. It seems like he just wants to go out there and KO people,wich is fine but what happens when he can't? He's not able to compete on the ground,he doesn't have any sort of kicking game,no black belt in BJJ,no wrestling experience. He's just gonna get KO'd or drawn out if someone doesn't stand there and trade punches with him.

The man wouldn't even make it in Boxing. Kimbo has no technique, all he wants to do in a fight is brawl. Yeah he hits hard but if you can't catch up to your opponent then there's nothing he can do.

Because Kimbo has decent stand up, zero ground game, and a chin that rivals Andrei Arlozki. Now if Kimbo was 25 then he would have a chance to improve much better. The guy is 35 years old.

Actually, there is a reason he chose MMA over boxing. He has a much better chance in MMA...which is none at all.

Kimbo doesn't have a chance unless he learns some kind of kick/ground/subm moves. He is slower than most fighters and if he doesn't land his punches early he tires out.

Kimbo fought an older, fatter version of himself when he beat Tank Abbott, although Tank probably has a better chin. Kimbo has one round to hit someone as hard as he can and hope that a.) they dont take the punch and keep coming, b.) they dont know how to punch back, or c.) they dont ge him to the ground. If any of those things happen, he's in a major bind.

Not surprised one bit if this rumour surfaces as the truth. This is why Dana wanted him on the show, to show him and the MMA world that Kimbo is not good enough, not even close.
So, he beat up a few guys on YouTube, Tank Abbott, cjoked out Ray Mercer and stopped James Thompson. But, he was KO'd by Seth Petruzelli. Seth Petruzelli? Now I know Kimbo took the fight on very short notice with Ken Shamrock injuring himself in training but still a guy like Petruzelli should not knock you out within 15 seconds of the opening bell if you were good.
Kimbo's ground game is poor, if you hit him anywhere near his chin he's going down. Overall this guy is a thug, he doesn't belong in MMA or any type of professional activity, every time he fights in MMA he sets the sport back.
Dana White is a very shrewd buisiness man, his original plan IMO was to give Slice a shot at one PPV regardless of his TUF performances and headline against Mir or Lesnar. However, Slice and his ego got the better of him and now he's going back to his own dillusional world.

Why would dana want do that win kimbo was already exposed as a phony to everyone, i think this is a buisness decison on dana's part to have kimbo on the show.

I wouldnt say he stopped tthompson, more like he was gifted a stop by mirgliotta. thompson staggered a little but his hand were back up and he was intellegently defending him self. and kimbo lost the 1st 2 rounds, the 2nd being a clear 10-8 if not a 10-7
