The main thing I like is that Fedor's going to fight in San Jose.

Though in my mind GSP is P4P #1.

      Re: Fedor Signs Multi-Fight/M-1 Co-Promotion Deal w/Strikeforce

I decided to do some numbers, cause they don't lie. Only personal discretion used was including Evans as 18-1-1 the UFC has him instead of 13-1-1 that sherdog has him. (I threw Machida in just for the heck of it so that's where that comes up.)

Intrestingly GSP has never fought anyone that doesn't have a winning record.

By non-winning records it means losses & draws combined > wins and NC's obviously not counted. %'s rounded of course hence the small oddity in Machida and Fedor despite similar numbers + Fedor's opponents fought more.

GSP > Silva > Fedor = Machida or that can also go GSP > Silva > Machida > Fedor

      Fedor 30-1-0

      Opponents:
      10/28 35% with non-winning records

      424 - 236 - 17 overall
      62% wins
      34% loss
      2% draw

      GSP 19 - 2 - 0

      Opponents:
      0/17 0% with non-winning records

      335 - 111 - 6 overall
      74% wins
      24% loss
      1% draw

      Anderson Silva 24 - 4 - 0

      Opponents:
      7/27 25% non winning records

      448 - 213 - 14 overall
      66% wins
      31% loss
      2% draw

      Machida 15 - 0 - 0

      Opponents:
      3/15 20% with non-winning records

      176 - 96 - 9 overall
      62% win
      34% loss
      3% draw

      So there ya go.

What happened with his loss? I keep meaning to ask how he is unbeaten with one loss.

people like to consider it as a no contest cause they stopped the fight in the first round because of a bad cut

Yeah, GSP is pretty much a beast... he gets my #1 P4P after the Alves fight and his record. Good comparison goh.

due to, what should have been, an illegal elbow strike.

And for those curious, here's Fedor's "loss."

Gegard Mousasi has said he will honour his agreement with Strikeforce following recent reports that his management had misled him about the amount of money the UFC had offered him for his services.

"I am fighting in Strikeforce now and Scott has always been honest to me," Mousasi told Fighters Only today. "I have a contract with Strikeforce and I am going to honor that."

The DREAM double-champion then said that he did not wish to comment on allegations that his management had misled him about the value of the UFC offer.

How did they NOT call that an illegal blow and give Fedor the match?

                      Fedor is undefeated.

                      He really is people.

Everybody considers Fedor to be undefeated regardless. No one really counts his "loss" as he avenged it and it was an illegal blow.

I agree it was a elbow that hit him, but it's not like the guy threw the elbow intentionally...I'd definitely call it a no contest, but you can't predict that fedor's gonna dodge like he did and catch the glancing elbow.

it wouldn't be illegal in the UFC...so.
