GSP might not be back until February?

Welcome to the first edition of 'Fireside Chats', the best moments from UFC President Dana White's conversation with media members at Thursday's UFC 102 pre-fight press conference.

If you watch the video there of Dana at the press conference, he says that they're looking at getting GSP back fighting hopefully in February, if not March. Apparently his injury, while not severe, isn't exactly trivial either.

I'm hoping Dana just misspoke or was misinformed or something, but knowing when one of your most popular champions would be ready to headline another card is probably info Dana tends to be very concrete about.

With the UFC looking at possibly using every other champion between October 24 and November 21, it'll be interesting to see what they do in December through February, especially if Rampage pulls out to go shoot a movie. Might be a perfect time to grab up some of that WEC talent and create featherweight and bantamweight divisions in the UFC, which Dana said recently was a possibility very soon. Put Mike Brown against someone (Frankie Edgar?) in December to get a UFC featherweight champ, and Bowles/Torres in January to get a bantamweight champ. Seems to make a lot of sense.
