After finding out stats are even more messed up than originally thought (went back and tried something else after looking at my previous research),the not very fun Machida/Shogun run through I did and with it being worth $40 trade-in I'm done.

I quit after the poorly structured career mode ruined two careers for me. They really let you progress rather quickly, until you hit a wall with the top tiered guys in your class.

It just didn't seem set up right, as I guess you need a FAQ or guide or something to plan things out specifically to progress properly while rising up the ladder.

I love this game.

There are flaws but I play it 10 times more than Madden.

I play sim and have over a 70% win percentage online. I love MMA.

I didn't find that I needed any planning. I went through career with mid/mid-high level Str, Speed, and Cardio (I think around 50, 65, 70), 69 for Submission Defense and everything else at 1 and went undefeated on expert. The game is way, way too easy. The AI is downright pathetic once you learn how to play.

You're a lot better than me. I can't progress past the top-5 in career mode, either. The MW division is tough for me as it seems there's a bunch of guys that have a big advantage over me on the ground.

Stats don't matter defense wise if you're within 20,maybe even 50,there's either no or negligible difference. Also you can just be cheap.
