I'm hyped for this fight. Silva and Sexyama are two of my favorite fighters, but I've gotta pull for Wand.

Plenty. Akiyama gets another off of a big named UFC fighter. No matter what you say about Silva he is still considered a well known fighter by the public. If Silva wins it gets him back on the winning track.

I think Silva does win. I feel he beat franklin but was robbed of the decision, so I don't think he'll lose to akiyama, especially after seeing akiyama's fight against belcher(?)

That sets up big fights for Silva. Belfort rematch, Henderson rubber match, Frankin rematch are all possible fights.

I think for a guy like Wand (who I love) who's not really going to make a strong run at any title will just be matched up in fun fights, this being one of them.

Disagree. This will be Wand's first fight at 185 in the UFC. If he wins then the UFC can push it as Wand becoming a new, reinvigorated fighter at MW. If Akiyama wins it can provide a big push for him as Wand is still a well-known fighter no matter bad he's been lately.

Wand!!!!! Should be a good fight, Sexyama didn't look that hot in his UFC debut but that seems to be a common theme.

There's three options for this card:

1) Get a proper main event.
2) Re-sign Hendo and have Hendo/Marquardt main with Wanderlei/Akiyama co-main.
3) Put it on Spike.

I'd prefer number 2, but I'd be fine with any of those three. As it is now, this card shouldn't be a PPV. But there's a lot of time, so we'll see what they do with it.

This card looks really weak. I like Sexyama but a Sexyama vs. Silva main event doesn't cut it.

I thought Cro Cop was going to quit after the last fight. He said his heart wasn't in it so I have no idea why he wants to fight again. Hopefully Rothwell destroys him so he will quit for good.
