    WEC 45 December 19th, 2009

    Gotta pimp this WEC card. It should be one of their best cards yet. Best of all it's free on Versus.

    Main Card:
    •Donald Cerrone vs. Ed Ratcliff
    •Chris Horodecki vs. Anthony Njokuani
    •Joseph Benavidez vs. Rani Yahya
    •Scott Jorgensen vs. Takeya Mizugaki

    Prelims:
    •Bart Palaszewski vs. Anthony Pettis
    •Muhsin Corbbrey vs. Zach Micklewright
    •Chad George vs. John Hosman
    •Tyler Toner vs. Brandon Visher
    •Kyle Dietz vs. Brad Pickett
    •Erik Koch vs. Jameel Massouh

    Jorgensen/Mizugaki will likely stand and bang.
    Benavidez/Yahya will be fast-paced. Classic striker vs. BJJ here.
    Horodecki makes his WEC debut.
    If you haven't watched Cerrone fight do yourself a favor and tune in. He's very exciting and Ratcliff will go toe-to-toe with him.

          I'm always trying to see Cerrone fight and I became a big fan of Mizugaki after his battle with Torres. I haven't seen Horedecki fight in a long time. Curious to see how he's progressed since his IFL days. Good looking show. It should be another solid WEC card as always.

              Didn't even know this was on tonight. You pretty much stole the works right out of my mouth Pappy. Cerrone = exciting. Mizugaki is tough. It has been a while since I see Horedecki.... I wonder if he still looks 12. He was an interesting prospect in the IFL.

              Hmm tough decisions tonight.... DVR the sho/wec fights and go see my friend/coworkers band play where there are sure to be plenty of good scenery or stay home and watch some fights. I leaning toward the fight..... gees I am acting old. I am going to take a lot of heat from some people if I don't go.

                      Replace my 28 with the 29 and I can make the same statement. I am not sure what happened. A few years ago it was 9 times out of 10 I'm going out.

                          First fight was pretty good. Jorgensen has impressed me two straight fights now. I feel like I'm in MMA overload right now, my head keeps going back in forth between WEC on my tv and Strikeforce on the PC.

                                      So...a fight with a kick in the face while running away,a fight won with a Peruvian neck tie and then back to back 9-9 rounds with whatever the heck that was Cerone pulled out before the choke.
                                      Mir didn't even know what it was.
                                      "So how's Ratcliff going to get out of this?"
                                      "Umm....tap?"


                                      Strikeforce is gonna have a tough time following this.

                                          The head kick on Horodecki was priceless. I havn't seen a puruvian necktie in a while awesome move. The Cerroni fight was awesome. I don't think I seen a bad fight all night. Good stuff.

                                                  My internet has been down since Saturday so I haven't had a chance to comment but as always the WEC put on a great show. I don't know why Yahya kept it standing and I don't know why Cerrone didn't take Ratcliff down earlier. After the end of the first round you could just see that Ratcliff's ground game couldn't compare to Cerrone's and it would end in a sub. I guess that's one of the reason's Cerrone is so exciting to watch though, he likes to stand and bang.

                                                          cerrone was beating his *** standing though too...and he probably likes doing that more being a muay thai guy.
                                                          Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.
