Despite all the cons it's still fun.
The commentary is great.
Nice graphics.
You'll probably get $30 out of it between now and when 2010 or EA MMA comes out.

Cons
The damage/stats don't work right.
Nearly every fighter fights the same. Partly related to the first problem,partly because there's only 3 each for striking and grappling fighting styles.
The career mode is 63 different kinds of awful with it's own very long list of problems.
Bit out of date at this point.
No walk-ins.
Lack of TKO's/stoppages.
No cage play.

I concur. Undisputed is my 2nd favorite sports game of 09. The only one that was better (IMO) was The Show.

Enough said, I would wait also man. I bought it the day it came out and I loved it for the first week then I just stopped playing it.

Yeah for me it was good for the first couple months. I didn't have Live at the time so I was just doing a Career mode and some of the Classic Fights but after those first couple months I would only play every now and then, usually when a UFC PPV was coming up and I would recreate those fights, because Career mode is so stale even halfway through the first play through and after the initial "awesomeness" of the game wore off, the flaws started to show up.

In August when I got Live the flaws showed ten fold when I started playing online and that put the final nail in the coffin for me on the game. Some of the game mechanics standing and on the ground are kind of ridiculous and don't really lead to much fun, IMO. Things like not being able to have two fighters hit each other at the same time, leg kicks being useless, guys holding down the transition block endlessly and more just got me too frustrated to keep playing.

Like I said hkhatir, wait for 2010 unless you really, really want a UFC/MMA game to play and can't wait any longer. If you can get some buddies together it can be a ton of fun but your best bet is to wait for 2010 and see how much they improve on the pretty decent foundation they set with 2009.

I'd wait for 2010 too. If they improve it enough, 2009 will be worthless. If they don't improve it a ton, but don't screw it up, then still 2009 isn't really worth it.

I think waiting several months and just getting the new one is probably a good idea. That way instead of spending $90 on games you just spend the $60 on the new one.

I played it for a long while, a couple months, and still pop it in every now and then. If your a UFC it'll keep you occupied for a long while. It's def a steal at $30 and who knows if 2010 will be delayed or what not.
