Why is Overeem still Strikeforce champ?

He hasn't defended the belt since he won it in 2007...Is there something I don't know? Wouldn't you think Strikeforce would want their champions to actually fight?

Yeah you would think so. Has Overeem even fought in the United States since then? I keep hearing stuff about him dodging fights here for fear of failing a drug test but I dont have a clue how accurate that is. Hopefully they just strip him of the belt and move forward.

Yeah, I don't really get it. IMO Cung Le should give up the belt as well, but at least I can understand him doing movies, there's just no valid reason for Overeem. Just wanted to ask cause I don't really follow Dream/Strikeforce as closely so there may have been something I didn't know about...

Cung Le did give up the belt. That's what the Shields/Miller fight was for at the last one.

overoid cant pass a drug test in the states. i dont know why he hasnt been stripped. maybe they have a ppv in russia and fedor creams him anyway.
