Fighter's you're looking forward to see more of in 2010?

Kind of like the "fights you'd like to see" except not specific matchups, but fighters.

I was just watching the Best of WEC 2009 and thought of it. For me, the people I can think of right now are:

Amir Sadollah - took a while to get healthy and had some issues, then came in and got his first fight stopped way too early... Finally got a real fight against Baroni and looked great. I'm looking forward to see him progress if he can stay healthy.

Phillipe Nover - same as Sadollah pretty much; except he only had the one fight so far. He's scheduled for 109, so we'll see. I loved watching him on TUF and hope he can make a place for himself in the UFC.

Steve Cantwell - I really like watching the guy. Yeah, he's 1-2 in the UFC right now, but I think he's got a boat load of potential. He just needs to hit that groove and get going and I think he could be a hell of a fighter down the road; he is only 23.

Carlos Condit - was in a hell of a fight with Ellenberger. One of the most entertaining of the year, and pulled a split against Kampmann. He's also shown the ability to put an end to fights; other than his two UFC fights so far - he'd stopped his previous 9 fights before Kampmann.

Those are four guys I can think of right now that I'm looking forward to in 2010.

With the exception of Sadollah, they're all pretty young to and have a few years before they really hit their prime. If Cantwell can really boost his training, I think he could be one of the most dangerous in the UFC in a few years.

I think I should also mention Jon Jones; but this was more a list of my absolute top guys - and while Jones has looked awesome, for some reason he just hasn't really earned my fanhood yet. He's just not a guy quite yet that I'd care about on a fight card. But hopefully he can change that around. At 22, though, this kid could be one of the top fighters in the LHW division for years to come if he keeps up at the pace he has.

*I wish I could edit the title. It's killing me inside.

Bones Jones- He could be a champ some day. Hes only 22.

Anderson Silva- I wanna see him give up his 185 title and go up to 205. He could have some great competition up there. (Rampage, 'Shad, T.Sliva)

Jose Aldo- Kid is flat out nasty. Very young as well.

GSP- Can someone come out of the woodwork and challenge him for his title at 170? Will someone shock the world?

Fedor- Cut the Strikeforce garbage, fire your crazy manager Finkelstien, and show some gahones and come and fight in the UFC.

And thats all i got to say about that.

Well now I just watched a video with Dana saying Cantwell might never fight again... Wouldn't say anything else, though.

Clay Guida - Yes he dry humps anyone when he can but I love the energy and enthusiasm he brings to his fights.

Enoch Wilson - A local NW guy many probably haven't heard of. Fought Urijah Faber back in 06 and hopefully with a few more wins he'll be in the WEC. He's a well rounded guy who always brings everything he has

Anderson Silva - Return from surgery and a second straight opponent who might actually engage with him equals excitement.

Miguel Torres - Tough opponent in Benavidez in his first fight back since dropping his belt but he's got the skills to make it back and get a return match with Brian Bowles.

Dan Henderson - Mostly because I want him to shut Jake Shields up.

More Prospects Coming From The NW Guys - Evan Dunham, Mike Pierce and Ricky Story.

Jon Jones is always exciting of course. Wonder what a win over Vera gets him? Forrest? Jardine? How long until a title shot? Would love to see him against Anderson Silva.

Ross Pearson considering the great skill he's already shown along with being a lot younger than I thought, there's massive potential there. He entirely outclassed Riley in the stand up but looking at his record most of his wins were by sub,it appears he excels at both and can only get better.

Frankie Edgar gotta love his scrapyness and heart, puts on exciting fights too. If he hadn't lost to Maynard he might've gotten a title shot by now.

Intrested to see if Roy Nelson can hang with the rest of them. His previous run ins with average or decent competition haven't turned out well.

I left out anyone from Strikeforce because they really don't have enough people so they'll be on anyway.

Goran Reljic - His last fight was a knock out of Wilson Gouveia. He hasn't fought since due to a back injury. He's scheduled to fight CB Dollarway at UFC 110 in Feb. His MMA record is 7-0.

                      Jon "Bones" Jones

The first fight I saw him fight was the last one where he lost by that bull **** DQ. The way the dude strikes is absolutely vicious.

                      Dan Hardy

Can't wait to see him get his *** kicked by GSP.

You need to watch the beating he gave Bonnar. I actually felt bad for the dude lol. Bones has some holes in his game, but the versatility and ferociousness of his strikes is a problem. Definitely a cat to keep an eye on.

As I stated in my first post, Jose Aldo is the fighter I'm looking forward to seeing the most. A few more names:

Miguel Torres - That loss to Bowles was tough, but Miguel is an amazing fighter. I want to see if he makes any adjustments to his style since losing his title.

                        Anderson Silva - Respect the 185 G.O.A.T.

Rashad Evans - Win, lose, or draw, I want to see Sugar Shad in the Octagon several times this year.

Paul Daley - Haven't seen much of this guy but he's an explosive, powerful fighter who's entertaining to watch. I think he can get on a roll.

Andre Winner & Ross Pearson - I was very impressed with how these guys looked in their last fights. These two are a great addition to the UFC roster.

The Diaz Brothers - They entertain the hell out of me. They may not be what you'd consider great ambassadors for the sport but these two fight with nothing but heart. The mean mugging, hands in the air, and Olive Oil bodybuilding flex is classic Diaz.

Robbie Lawler - One of the most underrated fighters out there. He got caught slipping in his last fight, but I look for him to put up some W's this year.

Scott Smith - You will never see a boring Scott Smith fight. Never.

BJ Penn - I'm not sure who wants to see BJ at 155. Just like Anderson Silva, we're witnessing one of the all time greats. I want to see him fight as much as possible.

Lil Nog - What he did in his last fight has me amped to see this guy again. If the records in his camp are any indication, I don't expect him to lose very much.
