I'm really excited for Bellator this year. They've got a lot of promising young fighters. First show is next Thursday.

As am I. I think Bellator is better than Strikeforce and not too far behind WEC in terms of quality. They know how to put on a show way better than Strikeforce. This season should be great.

Season 2 starts tonight! Unfortunately it will be on a tape delay here in Chicago on Comcast Sports Net due to the baseball game. Please, no extra innings.

Visa issues take Janne Tulirinta out of the LW tournament. Joe Duarte in against Carey Vanier.

Seriously guys, if you have a chance to check out Bellator do it. Last season was good stuff.

The show was a little tougher to see than I imagined.

Three channels in my three or four channels in my area were showing it, but were tape delayed because of different sports. All but one channel actually showed the taped version on time, the others didn't start until halfway in to the show.

It was a good card, listening to Bao Quach before the tournament made me kind of favor him, but he got destroyed by some sick knees from Karakhanyan.

Even though he came out with the victory, Joe Warren really needs some work on his game. Anyone with decent bjj is going to put him out of this tournament, as he was practically ended twice. The man does have a motor that doesn't quit.

Roger Huerta had a pretty tough opponent in Hinton. Good fight, and Huerta ended it in highlight fashion. I don't think Huerta ever has a boring fight.

All in all it was a good card. Some of the production was off, but I wasn't expecting anything mind blowing anyways, it was decent.

The end to Huerta's fight was great. That sweep he pulled into a kneebar was awesome.

The ref in the 3rd fight needs to be fired and baned from all MMA fights. He stopped the fight because the guy had his eyes closed in fighting a choke attempt.

The Illinois Athletic Comission is as dirty as it gets. That guy is probably someone's brother in law or uncle.

Meh, he was locked up and definitely not going anywhere. His eyes were closed and when the ref asked for a sign he didn't respond. It sucks, but if he was really out and the ref wasn't quick enough to react it could have been a really dangerous situation, and the ref would get flak for not calling it early enough.

Thanks for the link. I tried to watch last week by dvr and ending up getting the Stars' postgame and a 30 minute fishing show for the 1st hour.

Closed eye mean nothing. If you aren't being choked there is no reason to go anywhere. And the only the thing the ref even said was half a second before he stopped the fight. You haven't made. Do you have any actual valid points for justifying one of the worst calls ever?

The guy was locked up, the only thing he could ever hope for was that the other guy's arms gas. We don't really know how deep the choke was, one guy says it wasn't deep(which since he is disputing the call, why would he say it was?) the guy applying the choke said it was.

If the guy was really out, which he appeared to be even if he wasn't, the ref doesn't have a very much time at all to have the choke released before things can get seriously dangerous. It's easy to criticize the ref now but that was a difficult call to make, and I think he should be given more slack.

The volcanic eruption in Iceland has given Ryan Thomas a second chance in the tournament. U.K. fighter Jim Wallhead cannot travel because of the ash and Thomas will step in for him. Too bad for Wallhead but at least Thomas gets a second chance since we don't know if he would have been choked out or not.
