I had to let UFC 2009 hit the Gamestop pile again. I couldn't take it anymore, I'm ready for the new version and its improvements.

Yeah man. You did a great job with this last year. I hope that the game itself will do a lot of stat tracking and such. It is a lot to handle for one person.

        *Good news for me is...

At least I know who the fighters are now. This game really did remake me into a fan of the UFC.

i wish they would let us know the roster already. I mean i have a pretty good idea of the majority of people in the game but i'm curious about certain guys like Couture who is in EA's MMA game but has been back with the UFC for a good amount of time now. I'd hate to see him left out again even though i wouldn't use him much.

I'm excited for this game though, glad the Southpaw stance is in there as well as the new styles and signature moves so each guys doesnt fight the same and have the same moves just because their styles are the same.

I read that they added t-shirts & hats to the postfight but itd be cool if they added some sort of entrances as well. Maybe next year they can implement letting the users use their own custom music like MLB The Show with Walkup music, NCAA Football with custom stadium sounds, and all the other games that do it, to let us add our own music to a fighter's entrance. Maybe thats something for them to think about for the next year.

These are the standards I always fight online

            HW - Mir or Brock
LHW - Rampage by far the most
            MW - Spider Silva
            WW - GSP always
            LW - BJ Penn

I am so ready to fight some Kimbo Slice fighters though. You know there is going to be a lot. Any fighter with a decent ground game and submissions are going to dominate the Kimbo guys. Granted I am going to rock Kimbo to some times and see if I can get some brutal KO's

I can't help it, I'm a huge Brock fan irl. As far as the other weight classes, I stay away from the top guys. I even roll with Rumble Johnson. I haven't seen anyone pick him. The only time I ever used any of those other guys is when I had to use Silva and Rampage in the Classic Fights mode.

The CPFC league had a strong go. If there are 16 man leagues maybe we can mesh together and form an official ps3 league..

Granted they do the skill selection thing properly and don't totally mess it up - this years online could be WAY, WAY better.

Instead of just knowing a guy is a wrestler and cannot fight off his back at all - you've got to know your opponent. As it is, when a guy is a wrestler, I just get them on their back and pound away knowing they can't really do anything but push me off or reverse if I make my transitions obvious.. Or standing up I worry about certain positions.

Now you've got to know what moves the other guy can pull off; and there could be a lot more strategy.

Yeah that alone makes the game 10x better... the predictability of the first one was its downfall, especially when you were good at the game and playing someone else skilled. Having a wrestler who's able to reverse out of a bad position instead of just powering them off back to standing will be a great asset and will give the game so much more variety. Signature moves and strikes were in the game last year but barely, and that will add a ton to it as well.

Can't wait to see how it is. Is there a firm release date for this?

On the same token though (not for online) in '09 a guy could be thai/judo (my fav) or box/wrestler ...now it's all mixed so in a sense, everyone is just mixed for the most part. See what I'm saying...like in a way it could lead to just all around strategy all the time. They never should have shown ratings imo to begin with.

The key for online is simply to avoid spam while developing it.

so anyway, i'm very excited for a much better single player this time...i had fun with both last time around.

I will say at least Yukes/THQ is making it worth the yearly purchase with these kinds of improvements (at least on paper but I have no reason to doubt)
