Not a Scratch on Either Machida or Silva

I am amazed by so many things about Andersen Silva, but almost as amazing as his all-around skills is his ability to not get hit or suffer any real punishment. Same with Lyoto. Classic, old school, Karate: get in, deliver, and get back out. These two fight on such a higher level of artistry than any of the others it is a joy to watch.

Obviously you didn't see the last Machida fight. Had got damaged pretty bad by Shogun and REALLY lost that fight.

Machida's lips and ribs after fighting Shogun disagree.

even though everyone watching that fight (except the blind judges) saw that Shogun won that fight

Shogun won that fight and in a big way....When Dana White gets on the judges, you know the fight was awarded to the wrong guy.

                    Shogun won that fight.

Whether by how much or in a rout, it doesn't matter.

I would take Lyoto in the rematch just as I did the first time but it won't justify the decision if Lyoto wins. Lyoto lost at 104.

Shogun clearly won that fight. He tore Machidas legs and ribs up with those kicks.

I thought Shogun clearly won that fight initially. But after watching it a second time, I'm not so sure.

As far as Silva and Machida's styles go. I really hope in the future more fighters take note and really work on being affective without taking so much damage. I hate seeing fights that turn into ugly, sloppy brawls.

I gave machida rounds 1,2, and 3 narrowly, but a narrow round goes to the champ, shogun won 4 and 5 more con vincingly, but not convincing enough to be a 10-8 by todays scoring standards. Machida narrowly won based on the scoring system. Now under my ideal scoring system shogun would have won the fight. There are 10 points, use all 10. Under my system rounds 1, 2, would have been 10-9 machida, round 3 would have been 10-8 machida, and rounds 4-5 would have been 10-6 or 10-5 Shogun
