Fedor is not going to fight in April?

He is not in the main card so far... Why? He is your biggest draw..

Contract issues between M-1 and Strikeforce. The rumor now is that he will be fight werdum on the May card, but there are reports that he may not fight at all this summer.

Regardless the April 17th show is pretty stacked.

Fedor is one of the greatest fighters ever, but all of the drama with his contract makes me not care whether he fights or not.

No doubt. Nobody wants to hear about contract disputes. All we want to do is enjoy some good fights. Just fight or go away.

I was really looking foward to watching Fedor fight again, but even if he doesn't, the card is pretty stacked.

Bingo. I couldn't give a **** about Fedor anymore. If he fights, I hope he loses. If he wins, I don't care.

Yeah, after 3-4 years of all the Fedor contract B.S. I am starting to care less as well. I had floor seats to Strikeforce in Chicago back in November but now it is March and who knows when this clown will fight again. He is great but get in the cage and STFU. I love Fedor but it is to the point that this guy is going to finally step in the cage and get beat by some nobody because he just got old and everyone will have forgotten about him. Rogers gave him a run for his money for a bit in the last fight. I can already see the window in MMA between a legend and a nobody is small. Hughes, Liddell, and Faber looked unbeatable until GSP, Everyone, and Brown/Aldo came along. Nog/Cro Cop/Coleman just got ran through. Fedor come out and play, let us see what you have. This cat should have Werdum/Overreem/Lashley knock out by the end the year and then off for Lensar in the UFC. It isn't going to happen though. This cat is committed to 1 fight a year now. Probably this November or NYE we will see the next Fedor fight and it will probably be another can. Hope he proves me wrong.

Re: Fedor is not going to fight in April?

The thing about Fedor is that he doesn't care about all of this MMA stuff the way the fans and the media do. He has stated before that he doesn't have a passion for fighting and that he thinks of it more as a job. He has never said that he was the best, or that he wanted to be the best, or that he wanted to fight the best, or even fight for titles.

He does not care about his legacy.

The man just wants to fight and get paid. All of this extra hype is something that fans and the media have forced on him because he is so good. WE want more out of Fedor than he does himself.

It sucks as a fan because you want to see the best fight and to fight each other. Unfortunately this is a situation where you should just enjoy seeing one of the best fighters of our time fight whenever it happens, and accept however his career ends up even if you don't think it lived up to any hype or reached it's full potential.
