As a newbie, can someone fill me in on something.

Hasn't Liddell already KO'd Otriz twice? I actually saw those fights and they didn't even appear to be that competitive; especially the 2nd bout.

So why is this happening a 3rd time?
Is it because Liddell has lost a step? Is it because Liddell hates Ortiz so much it'll make for good drama?

Mostly the first part but they don't really like each other that much either so that plays a part I guess.

Both guys aren't what they used to be but they're 2 of the biggest names in UFC history so that's why this is happening a 3rd time.

Yeah, for some reason im anxious to see this fight. I remember fight number 2 it got a lot hype and turned out to be pretty descent. This number III should turn out ok since they're pass their prime.

Thanks for the explanation. I figured as much and I really don't mind a 3rd fight between the two. It's always fun watching Ortiz getting KTFO. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Just look at the size of his head!

Dana needed two big names to take part in this season of TUF and Chuck and Tito were the biggest names available. Usually at the end of the season, the two coaches fight. I also think Dana wanted to give Chuck a fight against someone who isnt much of a danger on his feet and that's Tito in a nutshell.

but chuck has developed a nice glass jaw and is now in a position to be ko'd by anyone. He's really tarnishing his legacy. Lost 4 out of last 5, and if he drops this one that'll be 8 losses.

Two of my favorite dutch kickboxers in K-1: Peter Aerts and Ernesto Hoost both fought way past their prime, but kept winning and finding new ways to beat people. I haven't seen any glimpse of chuck doing that. I use those K-1 examples because I can't think of anyone in MMA of the top of my head that is having success past the prime due to making adjustments - someone like randy doesn't really fight differently.

I dont know about a glass jaw. The Evans punch would have knocked anyone out and you could argue that the Jackson stoppage was a bit quick. The guy is still one of the biggest names in MMA.
