Re: UFC 112 1PM SPOILERS THREAD
Come on, Anderson is one of the best fighters, if not the best, but you dont have to showboat around the cage to prove it. GSP doesnt pull that ever and hes dominated guys consistently as well. I just think youve gotta show a little more respect for the guy across the cage, if there were personal attacks before the fight and its now become personal then thats one thing but I dont believe that happened here between Maia and Silva.Comment

Silva's losing a lot of fans here.
Just end it already. We get it, Maia doesn't deserve to be in there with you, and you're the god of MMA. Point proven. End it.Comment

Re: UFC 112 1PM SPOILERS THREAD
But thats Maia's entire offense really, hes not a striker so if he cant take him down then there isnt much he can do. At this point I think Silva needs to just storm in and knock him out but instead hes standing on the outside throwing shots at him and showboating around the cage. Silva could have ended this in the first round if he just stormed in and did it but its almost like a cat playing with a mouse, he knows he can kill it at any moment but hes content to just bat it around for awhile instead.
Good fighters will stick to what they're good at, even if it's not working.
Great fighters will adjust to what works.
You must be crazy to think that you'll be able to take Silva on the ground, so Maia should of trained his striking prior to the fight. From the looks of it, he didn't. Or he didn't train very well.Comment

Re: UFC 112 1PM SPOILERS THREAD
Maia could've trained 10 years striking and won't be as close to Anderson's striking prowess.
His only chance was on the ground. He tried to get it to the ground. Anderson is just sitting there toying with Maia.. completely disrespectful. End this.Comment

Re: UFC 112 1PM SPOILERS THREAD
Ok can someone answer this.. In the beginning, when meeting in the middle, Silva went to bow to all 4 corners, and it looked like Maia was either mocking him or bowing to him too.
Any know if Silva does this on all his fights? I'm a little blurry on it.Comment
