My bad, I really didn't start keeping up with MMA until 05-06. I knew he was a top HW but, I never knew he was considered the best p4p.

Man, I respect Fitch for what he does, but I really don't enjoy watching him fight.

He's dominant, but doesn't seem able to finish or really do much damage while on top...Look at Sonnen for an example of damage while on top.

I wouldn't boo Fitch, but it ends up being a boring 15 minute fight...

I felt funny watching his post fight press conference.

On one hand he knows he really isn't an exciting fighter in any sense, but he also tried to justify why he can't "finish fights" by saying his recent opponents have been replacements or fill-ins.

I don't care if he wins 20 fights in a row, if they all look like his recent ones I'll never really care much to see him. Unless he's fighting GSP etc.

The "Brazillian tap" theory has legs methinks... looked really deliberate and Silva was fooled by it since the ref came over. Luckily it didn't actually work, because that was the second of hesitation that sonnen needed to escape.

I've seen the "Brazilian tap" before...it's borderline because you could argue you were just moving your hand to try and get out of the hold. Usually the refs make you tap multiple times though.

Almeida was never gonna tap, once Hughes had it locked in I knew Almeida was going to sleep. Crazy to see him just go limp though.

Silva officially has a cracked rib and will be out until February or March of 2011.

Side note, Ed Soares seems to think that Sonnen doesnt deserve a rematch which I find laughable considering Sonnen has been the only guy in the UFC to even challenge Anderson in the cage. Sometimes I wish these guys would keep their mouths shut, Soares doesnt have a clue what hes talking about.

And for all those that hated Sonnen for his trash talk, myself included, apparently they think that the PPV buys will be somewhere around 900,000-1,000,000 which puts it right up there with the Evans/Rampage PPV which drew roughly 900,000 itself. His brash trash talking certainly took a card that nobody was pumped for when it was originally announced and turned it into a huge success, and according to the UFC, the best Anderson Silva PPV they have had to date.

If they hit a million buys on that card, thats incredible and Chael needs to get a check in the mail for all his hard work. Without all his trash talk I think it does 600k.
