Uh-Oh. Huge submission Glitch/exploit found
They were talking about this over at gamefaqs, and i just attempted it myself to confirm and it sadly works. You all probably know by now if you don't spin the stick after initiating a submission you have a chance at getting swept. Well if you do it in mount, you don't get swept you are just forced back to half guard. Well now people have figured out to allow the "sweep" to happen. the opponent will be gassed and you still have full stamina. they reapply the submission and its easy work with the shine to finish. This will ruin online ranked. giving up mount will mean an automatic loss.Tags: None -
Re: Uh-Oh. Huge submission Glitch/exploit found
are you talking about this???
Bugs & Glitches:
"I found a huge mess up in the sub game...if you start a sub from the mount and don't shine you're stamina doesn't go down, but your opponent has to shine to get out and will. You will be pushed back into half guard usually and then if you start another sub it is almost automatic because you have full stamina and your opponents is empty...ppl online will spam this to death."
"I'm hoping THQ fixes the omoplata cheat. For those who don't know if you've got a guy in guard and you're Shogun you hold L1 and click the right stick and he goes for the omoplata and just click the left stick to cancel and you'll be standing up. Works every single time."
Regarding the Submission Energy situation, we're looking into any potential exploits that may arise from this. Currently, we don't think this is going to be as exploitable as people are making it out to be, as we have implemented systems to make sure what is describe here cannot be used in an exploitable way.
Regarding the Omoplata cancel, we don't regard this as a cheat at all; there are plenty of ways to avoid this situation that we think with more play people will discover. The demo hasn't been out very long yet; let's give things a chance to mature before we jump to any conclusions.
Thanks for the spirited debate though, it's very helpful!

It's not as exploitable to guarantee a sub but it can be a real stamina drainer. I just tried the kimura from sidecontrol, let them sweep me to them having side control, transitioned to butterfly guard. did triangle to armbar finish in under a minute on expert. I think stamina should regain quicker to keep this from being exploitable, or lose stamina for being swept.Comment

I can't get one this way either, I think my shine sucks. I can submit people via wearing them down slamming them to rocked state and locking on a sub though.Comment

Re: Uh-Oh. Huge submission Glitch/exploit found
Shine seems to be counter productive. They get out of it faster if you shine because your bar goes down so fast and when your bar is gone that's it. Their bar empties and they can be in it for another 5-10 seconds before getting out. The clicking thing has something to do with it I think. I couldn't get either of them to work by themselves but they seem to work together somehow. They should've included a tutorial here.Comment

Re: Uh-Oh. Huge submission Glitch/exploit found
An other exploit is the "hold submission". So the opponent applay a submission even with his stamina low. Then he realize that he will not pull it off so he waits in the frist gate for you to escape.
On the other hand me as a defender understand that it is eazy to block the submission and wait him to go on the third stage so I will defend and when I break the submission I will transition autimaticly in a better position
So now we are in a situation were HE attempt a submission gust out waiting for me to counter it (I can't remember if I loose stamina when escape the submission). I also wait for him to advance to the next Gate. So we stuck there in the first gate of the submission waiting
Shouldn't the guy with the lowest stamina go to a disantvantage position AFTER he is not flicking the left stick 3 blue notification on the same stage of the submission?
He has no penalty at atempting a submission with lower stamina than me. I am just a defender ...... Maybe I just want to be chockedComment

Though it appears this system no longer works like the old one.
