Getting rid of this game asap
Anyone else? I mean it's absolute garbage. Should I wait for a patch?Tags: None -

A patch is only available via download, correct? Or, do I have my signals crossed?Comment

Re: Getting rid of this game asap
I'm having fun with the game. However, I don't play online and I don't care about achievements but, that's just me. As for your question, I'm assuming that some things will be corrected via a patch. Just like all sports games this gen.
My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
Alabama Crimson Tide
Green Bay Packers
Boston Celtics
New Orleans Pelicans

Woh, I wouldnt say its garbage! It does have some holes...especially with the subs...however the game has only been out a couple of days. Give it some more time and dont let the frustration get to you.
People complain about the flash KOs, or that they are winning the fight but then get knocked out...well that happens in real life...does it suck...yes, but if youre in a slugfest you are risking the chance that you might get KTFOComment

Mine will be going back. I'm not much of a single player guy but even this years single mode is not that great. And the online play is pretty terrible. They made the game to arcade and simple even though its complicated. It's weird. I am about to call around and see what I can get for it."NFL/EA/2ksports, caused the worst generation of football gaming ever."

Re: Getting rid of this game asap
I never play online so that isn't an issue.
The flash KO's are way too frequent to the point where it's laughable. I mean I don't like winning a fight with a jab when I can't with a muay thai clinch knee to the head.
When you rock someone in the clinch you automatically let go?
Personally, I find it impossible to sub the CPU.
Even if I don't attempt a transition block or reversal I always block at least the first two attempts and likewise when I play another person or the CPU and attempt a transition.
I really don't like the grappling standing up. It's a good addition if the transitions worked properly based on the controls shown in the pause menu but I spend most of the time switching from a single collar tie to double underhooks and back over and over.
The fatigue is broken imo. My buddy can throw haymakers one after another but his energy bar will stay pretty much the same after two seconds of rest.
I just found I liked the older one more and here in Canada I don't feel like spending 80 dollars on a game when I can get more enjoyment out out of the 2009 version.
On the positive side if you're drunk with your friends it is enjoyable stand-up wise and the career and create-a-fighter are leaps and bounds better.Comment

Re: Getting rid of this game asap
I'd just try to wait it out man, I mean you bought it already right? If you look at the MMA Online Gaming forum here there's a post that says THQ is already working on addressing the main issues. I know what you mean though, subs are a huge deal, there's pretty much no point in creating a submission specialist because you're just gonna be forced to win by KO anyway. Submissions look a lot cooler this year and there are a bunch, but it pretty much goes to waste. I have faith just because WWF No Mercy is one of my favourite games ever, and THQ made it haha, so I know they can deliver. I figure with a bit of time they can make this a lot more playable.Comment

Yeah I'm going to keep it most likely. Just seems bizarre that a brand new game has so many flaws. Who tested this game exactly?Comment

Re: Getting rid of this game asap
Remember how it had that bug that deleted all your stuff after a while?
Yup THQ made it alright. Though really they're just the publisher. AKI made that game, they also went on to make the awful Ready 2 Rumble Revolution on the Wii.
As a simulation of the sport it is complete garbage.
As an arcade game sure,it's ok.Comment
