What is this game "connecting" to from the main loadup screen?

Because it's pissing me off by just sitting there 'connecting' forever. It's been 2 minutes now and I just restarted the system because it would never 'connect'.

I'm really losing my faith in THQ as developers so far. This game just has so many damn flaws.

Does anyone know what it's connecting to, or WHY it would have to connect to anything, since I'm just trying to load the freaking game and not doing anything online?

And it finally 'connected' and got to the main menu. Ridiculous. Why should I wait 5 minutes for a game to load the damn MAIN MENU? (actually, looking at the time stamp it took 8 minutes to load the main menu).

This is beyond idiotic. I don't understand what THQ is thinking.

Happens to me too, I don't know why the UFC games are so pathetic at load times.

Yep. This seems to be a problem with their servers. Should be fixed by tomorrow... Hopefully.

Flat out horrible.

Oh and for the last time................REVERSAL system kills the game.

Watching Brock Lesnar reverse Big Nog over and over is sicking.

Happens to me half the times I start up the game. Figures I shouldn't have put so much faith in THQ. They put out 2 great games last year so I started to give them the benefit of the doubt.

But I'm wondering if they'll continue down the crap path, or get back on right track?

09 was a good game with great potential, I have complete benefit of the doubt, even though the demo had me worried esp regular stand-up striking in the pocket.

I bought this, but it won't last too long. I'm going to try and have some OS matches/tourney's and I do enjoy using some of the more dynamic fighters like GSP in the game against others in PPV or Title mode.

BUT I've learned my lesson. I'm not buying it anymore. Unless the prove they're going in a new direction and fixing the fundamentals, I'm out.

It's a shame really. It's like they collectively made a bunch of bad decisions and FOUND a way to somewhat ruin the game.
