We all know what's wrong with UFC2010, So what was done right?

I have read every page of the "Impressions" thread and have seen all the complaints, gripes, glitches, wtf's, and overall displeasure by a majority of members here...

So with that, what (if anything) did they get right or improve on in the game???

So far, what is wrong is becoming staggering:

    Too many KO's
    Too few Subs (Human)
******** AI (Always in Circa 88' Mike Tyson Attack Mode)
    Various Glitches/Potential Spam Issues
Career Mode sounds quite flawed (Screwed up PPV Cards, Tedious training)
    Online Nightmare
Ground Game/Stand Up sounds like it took steps BACKWARDS

So what was done well/better than 09'???

Haha I love how no one has touched this thread. Umm, the graphics are better, CAF is better, Career mode is deeper (although tainted by flawed gameplay), uhhh....yeahhhhh.

        new game modes are fun?

and the stand up would be better IF the CPU didnt fight like they were in a rocky movie and every fight ended in a knockout. just mechanics wise, i do enjoy the stand up better than last year

career mode is Better...A chore and overall makes ZERO sense...But better.

Cage interaction is a great addition and the clinch is better.

          I like Event mode.

          Sadly thats it from me....

            -The Presentation

            -Great modes(nothing gimmicky)

-CAF is great and pretty deep compared to other games (THQ always been good with this)

-The concept they had for career mode(too bad they didnt go all out with it)

-Fighters have dif moves and styles(south paws)

            -Cage interactions

            -New animations

The concept of this game is GREAT but like I said in another thread, the game feels rush with the crazy decisions that were made...

Re: We all know what's wrong with UFC2010, So what was done right?

The game has a very solid foundation:
              These three problems
              - Too many KO's
              - Too few Subs (Human)
              - ******** AI (Always in Circa 88' Mike Tyson Attack Mode)
all have the same problem, namely stamina.
The AI watches its stamina very well...problem is, it regenerates so fast, that the cpu doesn't need to care.
Too many Ko's stems from too many power punches again result of stamina regenerating too fast.
              Submissions, problem again, stamina.
              Transition Spamming, again, stamina.

The foundation underlying the game is pretty damn solid but the problem is stamina and regeneration. Fight the CPU, when he has only half the energy bar. He will pick his spots and back off from you. The AI will only punch if there is an opening because he wants to avoid getting gassed. Would stamina regenerate more slowly, the whole fight becomes more tactically.

I agree with all of these. Another one I'll add is commentary. Goldberg and Rogan are much better this year. So far in my career I've had 3 fights against Brandon Vera. The first he knocked me out and in the second I KO'd him. In our 3rd match Goldberg asked Rogan something like "what should a fighter like Vera do differently since he was KO'd in their last match?". Then Rogan replied "Well, he should look to KO Marquez again like he did in their first fight".

                I was like

Despite all it's flaws the game is very fun to me. I've got about 10 hours of game time in these past three night and I'm having a blast!

I second this as well. Great concepts but not polished enough. I hope with the patch, they fix everything.

Presentation with the exception of commentary that seemed to be much the same. I guess most of the new stuff there is in career mode. Though I did enjoy the convo about who was meaner/uglier between Wandy and Rampage.

The clinch stuff was handled pretty decently as well.
