I don't get all the "Cain has great standup" talk...he has great wrestling and GnP. Anyone see him get annihilated in the standup during the Kongo fight?

He was dropped multiple times. I think Carwin would destroy Cain, and I also think that JDS has much much better standup than Cain.

I think Carwin would win a rematch vs Brock, and that the order of likelihood of a win goes like this:

      Carwin
      JDS
      CV

I'd also rather see fat kungfu guy roy nelson fight cain rather than dos santos.

I can't believe some people think Cain could knock out Brock after seeing the shots he took from Carwin...Cain isn't the biggest puncher - again see the Kongo fight where he nailed him a million times. Carwin and DS can legit knock people's heads off.

I agree with everything in this message. If Carwin goes into that fight with better cardio, he is wearing a belt right now. If I were Brock I'd be real apprehensive about a rematch.

Say this on sherdog and all of the brock haters come up with 1 billion reasons while he will. I
I believe Brock will beat him, but anything can happen when the cage closes. (Except Anderson Silva losing to big mouth)

Did you not watch Cain's last two fights?

Big Nog and Ben Rothwell. Not the best competition. Big Nogs chin isnt what it used to be and its Ben Rothwell. Kongo was the guy with best standup he fought and he should have been finished.

I'd like a Carwin rematch first..with Cain fighting someone like a Dos Santos or Mir. Carwin was ready to go when Brock got hurt. He had to wait and fight Mir instead.

I plan on getting tickets to Indy. It would be awesome if Brock was on the card even when it was rumored I didn't think it would happen. Rampage v Lil Nog' would be decent. Lytle in his hometown will be insane. I heard a couple rumors in the last month and a half that this might be on Spike because of Dana's promise to make up for the Anderson Silva card.

Cain isn't ready for a title shot, Brock is going to murder him imo. UFC should have matched JDS up with Cain for the title shot.

Please. None of what you mentioned takes away the fact that Cain showed excellent stand up against his last two opponents.

Not saying Cain has a good shot at winning but to point to Congo as the reason Cain doesn't have great stand up isn't really that fair.

Lesnar will probably end up taking Cain down and then finish him or get the decision.

Still, Cain has pretty nice stand up, just not sure if it will do anything to keep Brock out of his face.

Unless Brock makes some serious improvements, this is Cain's fight to lose.

I doubt it because that would mean back to back free UFC cards on Spike. 120 is going to be free on Spike also.

Im not saying he didnt shown great power or standup. But KOing Big Nog now isnt a huge feat. If thats in 2005 thats a different story though. But when Kongo and him stood Kongo won most exchanges and should have fiinshed.

The only person on the planet that in see who even has a glimmer of hope against Brock is Carwin...Just as big...if not bigger and has a MUCH better stand up game....

But Brock is evolving....He subbed a gassed Carwin with ease honestly...When Brock gets on top of you, you are not getting him off.

Who in the HW division can handle him? He took some Massive shots from Carwin and stayed in there...Not Cain, JDS or anyone else would have gotten to the 2nd round, but Brock did.

All he is doing now is getting better....Much better. Unless something odd happens and inside the cage anything can...But there isnt anyone in HW now who has a shot.
