He is, he needs to get get a better quality opponent though. Top 10 next fight. I think Vlad should be a good fight for Bones and he can lose to him even if nobody thinks so. Even though this might be a step down for him, Phil Davis (who i think is another great prospect) would be a good test for him. See if he can stop the takedown, if he did against him he would tko him

I like how the ufc been dealing with him. The Bonnar fight pretty much put him on the scene IMO. They put him with a brawler with a granite chin and beat him convincingly. They put him against a wrestler in Hammill who he dominated till getting DQ'd. Then they put him against a big test in a hungry Vera which he dominated as well. This guys skill set is just rediculous. The big question to me is can he take a punch. Hes never really been tested and thats saying alot with the likes of who his first few fights were against. I think Vlad is a step back IMO, but I think the UFC wants him on the free show cause they know hes gonna come to fight and if he wins then Im positive a quality opponent will be next.

Yes, and Vlad can throw some punches. Granted, he doesnt have power like Rampage or someone else, but nobody does know if he can take a punch yet. Like Brandon Vera said on the Versus preview shows, its an x factor. Nobody knows if he can take a hit, if it will bring out the best of him, or if he will fold. But in the Vera fight, a good bjjer submits him. He left his arm there the whole time.

Yeah I think that Vlad in his prime would be a good fight but at 39 I feel he is on the downside of his career. Yeah I think that his next big test will be a bjj guy. But u can't blame jones for leaving his am out there. I mean if the guy can't capitalize then ur not at risk. I'm pretty sure if he felt like it was a threat he wouldn't leave it out there.

Yea, he might have done it though from inexperience. I doubt he has fought a great bjjer. And "The Janitor" is prob on downside of his career. You never know though, Randy is in his prime now lol jk.

If they're not more careful on who they sign, pretty soon they're gonna be headlining with Big Show vs. The Great Khali.

Nobody would touch the big show lol. Hed sit on him them and they break.
But your right, they do need to be more careful.
I liked the Lashley signing, but Batista has no real wrestling backround, while brock and bobby at least wrestled in college so they have a base.

From what I read Batista isn't planning on fighting competitively. He uses it for training.

I don't really hate any fighters.
I hate Tim Sylvia and Matt Hughes.

I don't get the hate for Matt Hughes. He is full of himself but man is/was the guy a amazing fighter. I mean who is going to touch his record 51-7??

He is and always was a boring fighter too. I don't care what his record is.

I don't care for him cause his ego and the fact that he shouldve lost to Newton instead they gave a win to a unconscious Hughes and thus his reign started.
