Interesting Interview With Lyoto Machida's Father- Wants Lyoto to Retire

Always interesting to hear from Yoshizo Machida. In a past interview he stated that he thinks that Lyoto and Anderson Silva Should put aside their friendship and fight each other (http://www.mmamania.com/2010/1/12/12...-son-must-face).

Now he reveals that he did express a desire for Lyoto to retire after his recent loss to Shogun.

I already said that he better not fight anymore, but I did not say it to him. I have expressed this desire to my wife and his brothers. He doesn't want (to retire) and says that he still has many challenges.

Apparently he fears more for his son's spiritual well being, more than his physical.
