    MMAFighting.com Interview with Joe Rogan

Fun times with Joe Rogan. It would be a dream to sit and talk MMA with him.

People can say what they want about Rogan, but the dude is absolutely brilliant. To think quickly on your feet like that on live TV in front of millions of people isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. He pulls it off very smoothly and seemingly without effort.

Yep, and he actually knows what he talks about. IMO Rogan and Goldy are great partners.

In part 2, there was some mention of HBO regarding them wanting to make up their own broadcasting team.

Is there something in the works with HBO? I did a quick search on google, but everything I found was at least 3 years old... and obviously it didn't pan out at that time.

HBO could add a lot of subscribers by showing UFC events.

Maybe, to compete with showtime and strikeforce. THey expanded to versus, so they might. Two weeks till Versus!!

Huge Rogan fan. If you love stand up he is a must see. I got to see the taping of Talking Monkeys in Space. Also seen him exiting a resturant for him pre fight meal before UFC 77.

The HBO talks were around 07 from what I remember. The talks broke down because HBO wanted to cover the event without the control of the UFC. They wanted there own broadcast team that could pretty much cover the sport how they wanted, good or bad. It would of included all production by HBO from lighting, camera, etc etc. As more that follow know the UFC isn't giving up any control of the product to anyone unless they have something huge to gain.

I like UFC broadcast 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000times more than the strikeforce broadcast. That one dudes voice is annoying to me.

I love Strikeforce but sometimes the broadcast team is hysterical. I think it was the Strikeforce at the Nokia Theather where the term a** mount was used. I actually like Gus Johnson and Frank Shamrock but Quatros and the other guy just seem too goofy for me. Bas Rutten does a good job as well.

I feel the same way. If you want a laugh you should watch the very first UFC PPV. Talk about horrendous commentary. Jim Brown was it's only saving grace. Even when the event was live (I ordered it) I was thinking who the hell are these people commentating?
