Brookins really needs to focus on improving his stand-up game. It was honestly an embarassment compared to Johnson's.

Also, Johnson should practice working off his back because he was pretty much helpless once Brookins got in a decent position.

      Brookins!!!

What a great performance by both of those guys. Nice to see two classy youngsters coming up. Such a change of pace from the drunk arrogant idiocy from the rest of those fools in the house.

How in the hell do you let Cody do a guillotine again? I think he has a magnet in his armpit that draws peoples heads there.

Their 1 apprently spectacular KO didn't even make it to air!

I had it 30-26 for Phan.
I can see how maybe they gave Garcia the first round. There's a case for that. That one was close.
Obviously round 2 was Phan's,10-8 IMO.
        Round 3 also clearly Phan's.
When they said 29-28 I was sure it was for Phan and Garcia had been given the first round but nope. The only possible explanation in exsistence is they saw the big cut on Phan's head and that's why they gave it to Garcia. I can't think of any other reason they did that. As Rogan said it's not up to them,it's up to the people that STILL have Steve Mazagatti employed so that should speak for itself. Garcia even admitted he lost.

Didn't pay much attention to Story/Hendricks but it seems I didn't miss anything. Heard Rogan laying into the judges.

Maia/Grove looked like the typical Maia fight.

Also wasn't paying attention to the Bonnar fight, all I read about that one was "Mazagatti strikes again!" so it's probably best I wasn't. It looked to me like he took a point from Bonnar (that thankfully didn't matter) after the fight was over?

I'm suprised Johnson didn't win in the 1st. Brookins was giving me Jon Fitch flashbacks in 2 & 3. Though as Joe pointed out if he keeps his chin out there like that most fights aren't going to end well for him.

Yeah Mazagatti took a point from Bonnar for punches to the back of the head. Bonnar landed about 4 in a row to the back of the head so even though it was questionable at first (because there was 1 second left in the round), it was the right call IMO.

Some quick thoughts on the fights:

1- Nam was robbed. I thought rounds 1 and 3 were close but, I don't see how Garica won either of them really. Also, I don't know if it was Dana's plan along but, moving some of the TUF fighters to 145 could be a brilliant move. Considering some fans are just UFC fans and not MMA fans it will immediately give that division some recognizable names. Not that it really matters because once the UFC fans see what the fights there offer they'll love them. As for the fighter's, I honestly think Nam is here to stay. He has a very likable personality and I don't think Dana will hold that Loss against him. Garica gassed again, what a surprise? I do love his heart though.

2- The Hendricks/Story fight looked like it was going to be good in the 1st. It slowed down a bit by the 2nd. I'm not sure if it was fatigue or their skills canceling each other out. Probably a little bit of both.

3- Maia being Maia what can I say? Grove did show some great D but, Maia outclassed him for the most part.

4- Wow at Cody and another guillotine. He has to have really stong arms to get a choke like that. Color me impressed. I can't wait to see him back in the octagon.

5- Bonner looked pretty good. Why can't they bring Jardine back and let him and Bonner go at it is beyond me.

6- Brookins and Johnson was probably one of the better TUF Finales in the past few years. I really like both guys. Brookins stand-up sucks. No head movement and chin up. If he improves there he could be very good in a couple of years. Johnson needs to improve on the ground plus work on his cardio. If he does that he'll be be in the UFC for years to come. Personally, I'd love to see Johnson fight Garcia. I know they're not in the same weight-class but, surley one of them can make the adjustment.

Leonard Garcia really should be 0-7 in his last 7 fights. Instead he's 3-3-1. I don't know if its a problem with the judges thinking he's landing his strikes when he's just winging at air most of the time.

Just go back and look at the Korean Zombie fight. Garcia is winging looping hooks that Jung was avoiding and countering and landing on Garcia's face but Garcia still won because he threw a ton of punches that I guess the judges thought landed.
