because EA MMA is not Madden. NCAA doesnt even get that Madden treatment and its a better game. Same with Fifa. Expect the MMA game to get the type of attention Fight Night typically gets. They arent going to go too over the top promoting a game for a sport with more of a hardcore fan base.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

That doesnt have anything to do with how many marketing dollars EA will put behind though.Comment

They don't do that and keep churning out anything nearly as awful/insulting as 2010 on a yearly basis then 1/2 the customers jump anyway.Comment

I am all for this as long as a another patch comes and we get a few roster updates along the way. This is THQ again, who hasn't even capitalized on roster updates with their WWE games where they can make more money.Comment

Re: THQ Considering a Longer Development Cycle For Next UFC Game
The short development cycle had absolutely nothing to do with the trashness of UFC 10.
All they had to do was add duck and sways, and add more signature moves while adding left handedness and tweaking the ground/submission game.
They added most of that but failed to realize what was soo amazing about the first game and destroyed the foundation it was built on.
Destroyed the stamina which was perfect in the first game.
Ruined the stand up, by removing the effectiveness of the 1-2 and normal combos. (hooks have more reach than jabs. etc.)
Removed the button mashing to escape subs and takedowns.
And then the cpu a.i. took 4 steps backwards.
No matter the dev. cycle this game would've been trash. Whoever is in charge is just terrible at their job."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment
