I see a lot of comments on different sites about what Belfort should have done, the most common being rush or press Silva and all I can say is this: it wouldn't have mattered.

There was nothing Vitor could have done to change the outcome of that fight, because honestly Silva is just better than him.

There is really no other way to put it, Silva is just a much better fighter, whatever Belfort did Silva would have adjusted and destroyed him.

The beauty of that kick was that he faked low and went high in one swift motion, you really can't fault Vitor for reacting like he did because from where he was standing it looked like the kick was heading for his mid-section.

I don't think he even saw the kick. The way he had his arms up, it appeared that his arm blocked him from seeing that kick at all. I hate when the crowd starts booing in the first round when guys don't just start attacking each other.

I never really liked Bader. He is good but I always thought he was not as good as his record.

He saw it. He mentioned it in the post fight interview. The fake got him and he thought it was going low. Silva is just too good. Reads the spaces like a legend.

That's why I hated him but he won me over on TUF.

I'll admit he did seem a lot better on TUF, but it's not like it isn't hard for guys to put on an act for the cameras either.

Rushing or pressing Anderson = you're done.

Chael got away with rushing or pressing Anderson because he can wrestle (and he has a lot of toughness and heart). You rush or press Anderson and your main asset is striking? Forget about it. You're done. Anderson has out of this world reflexes and he will eat your striking up for breakfast.

Silva vs Shogun would be an absolute dream fight though. GSP needs more time to "bulk" up anyway, so in the meantime, Okami should get his shot at Anderson. There's bad blood there, and Okami has, on paper, the tools to beat Anderson (ie. wrestling and tight submission defense). Make this fight in say July. He probably can't win, but neither can anybody else anyway at 185.

Silva is soooooooo dangerous. How do you train for this guy? He can beat you with strikes, on the ground, by attacking or by counter attack. You can't simply say "Watch out for this or that." He's good at everything. If someone that doesn't know anything about MMA watched Silva's fights, they would say that he isn't fighting any good competition. He makes it look THAT easy. Wow!!!

Wow. Vitor actually looked impressive up until he got knocked out.

That kick was just brutal. It looks like its going to be a body kick and instead it takes your head off. damn.

You could see Vitor flexing his body muscles to prepare for the impact and then BAM! lights out.

Chael got his *** kicked while on steroids and is still talking ****??? some people man.
