    for offline which is better

I hated ufc's career mode, Short fights and the controls took some getting used to. The pay per views were cool though. I tried the MMA demo and it seems like it pretty solid in the controls department. I also like how you can download created fighters. My main question though is which of the 2 mma games are better just for playing offline.

ea's career mode while not fantastic bored me a whole lot less than undisputeds. its solid. the cpu can provide a real challenge on the hardest difficulty settings as well.

      I'd go with EA, too.

The career mode is more something you do for the achievements and then never again, but the gameplay itself is more realistic and the AI is much better.

you can make better created fighters by taking them through career.

Hardly any better. You can make great CAFs right off the bat, there's not much reason to drudge through 40 fights to get a couple extra "special" moves, and super high points. They did a much better job than THQ in allowing one to make a very strong fighter right off the bat. In fact, whenever I make one, I try to balance them and I generally have 1500-1600 points left and still think they're too strong in one area. I'd hate to see what CAFs look like when someone spends all the points.
