At 6'4, people are basically having to step in and throw haymakers to connect.
Though of course he's still learning and will only get better for quite some time. I'm sure he'll learn to use that. Not that the jab is used a whole ton in MMA as Rogan constantly points out. Imagine he learns to use it as well as GSP did against Koscheck...

Now thats ****ing scary. If he uses that jab effectively, he could be a dominate for a long time.

          Damn, Rashad is pissed.

          Long but good read, IMO.

I did my best to help and I really felt that our friendship was on another level...but that wasn't the case. When the first opportunity came and he said that he would fight me if Dana said so, that to me stung more than anything. He said that he didn't want to lose his job and look man, the UFC isn't going to fire anyone because they are turning down fights. If anything it would mess up future opportunities for them and they weren't going to come to him and say, "if you don't fight Rashad you are kicked out of the UFC." That wasn't going to happen. I was always considerate and respectful to our system because if I had the belt then I would want you to do the same for me. Then he comes across on national TV and says that he will fight Rashad if Dana White tells me to and I felt so f**cking utterly disrespected."

Are you serious? Explain to me what Silva could do to a guy practically twice his size and should damn well be a heavyweight?

Of course anything could happen, but Jones is a gigantic physical specimen. Silva would be a huge underdog imo.

One extreme to the other. I think Silva would KO him. That wild man **** wouldn't work with a pinpoint counter puncher like Silva.

If Jones didn't do that, it'd be an interesting fight.

Are you kidding me? Not take a fight because you are friends? Should 2 friends in every other sport not play each other? Get over yourself and just admit you don't want to get destroyed in the cage.

Silva is a big guy. Walks around at 225. He's a world class fighter. Never an underdog.

I just got a chance to watch the fight and Whoa is all I can say. Bones decimated Shogun which really surprised me and probably a lot of people. With his height and reach advantage it looked like a total mismatch. The sky's the limit for the kid but I'm not going to say he's invincible. Someone will find weaknesses and exploit them. Anyone get get KO'd in an MMA fight.

The thing is who is going to be that guy to do it? I don't know.
