The winner of the Grand Prix deserves a title shot.

Definitely. He did, which was great. I haven't seen the fight in a while, but he couldn't do anything else after he recovered. I was surprised by him taking Carwin down. When you mix striking I guess it becomes a lot easier.

I forgot this was on and was otherwise occupied. I only saw the last 3 fights.
I'm shocked Carwin/JDS went all 3. I was mildly suprised when it went past 1:30. It was a nice fight though.

Depends on who wins. Lets say Overeem and Rogers win Saturday, Khartonov (sp?) beats Silva and Rogers upsets Overeem. Does anyone want to see the winner of Kharatonov/Rogers fight Cain/JDS? I dont.

Also if Barnett wins, there is still the issue of his lack of a CA license and his long standing fued with Dana.

Personally, if Overeem, Silva, kharitonov, or Werdum win it I think they deserve it. Also during one of Dana's vlogs he actually smiled and took a picture with Barnett...
I understand what you mean though. Rogers has already fought Overeem though, and that would happen twice to him.

I don't know who else would deserve to fight Cain or Dos Santos other than the winner of the tournament. Who has the best streak at HW in the UFC other than those two? Right now you have a Frank Mir who beat a sorry looking Cro Cop and Roy Nelson. Brendan Shaub is on a roll but we'll need to see how he looks against Nog. Even then I still don't think his resume is all that impressive yet. No matter who wins the Strikeforce tournament it's going to be the best option to me.

Can't believe this went to a decision and I'm surprised it didn't get stopped in the 1st when Junior caught him. At least the dude handing out 30-27's all night could finally get one right.

Can't wait for Junior/Cain. It'll be close but I got Junior winning.

Another question, where does this rank on Card of the Year? I thought it was great, every fight on main card was good, plus prelims.

Keep in mind though we are talking about Mid 2012 when this fight could happen. Mir could run off 2 more victories. Lesnar could be back with a win.

Very true. Who you do think Carwin gets now? Maybe give Herman a big step-up?

True indeed. A lot can happen on the MMA timeline between now and then. War Brett Rodgers.

Silva likes to book people coming off losses against people who've lost. I think Carwin fights Nelson next.

I forgot Carwin is on a two fight losing streak. Duh me. That is interesting. I hope that fight personally doesn't happen.

One other thing: If Dana has a choice between a Cain/Lesnar 2 or JDS/Lesnar for the belt or a Cain/JDS vs. Kharitonov or Rogers....who do you think he's picking.
